sardis wrote:"84 percent of white people killed every year are killed by other whites. In 2011, there were more cases of whites killing whites than there were of blacks killing blacks."

Wow, you talk about a misleading statistic. The white population is significantly larger than the black population so, of course, there should be more whites killing whites than blacks killing blacks. The article also did not mention that 93 percent of black people killed were killed by other blacks. When you factor in the overall population of each and the percentages, you find that a black person will be 6 times more likely killed by another black person than a white person will be killed by another white person.

White Lives Don't Matter?

1 - most crime is "X-on-X," not "X-on-Y." Whites mostly kill whites, blacks mostly kill blacks, browns mostly kill browns, etc.
2 - there are crimes that whites "overperform" - paticularly sex offenses, financial crimes and hate crimes.

Hate criminals by definition are only reserved for white straight males.

It ain't whites that are whining publicly about interracial crime. Prof brought up the fact that black people by far proportionately kill each other, yet the black community spends all their energy complaining about the statistically insignificant white on black crime.

Are you in favor of this? And do you think it's constitutional?
I have reservations but it strikes me as fair. Constitutionally - the majority cited the 14th amendment...makes sense to me. How about you?

So you are saying that you determine whether a church should be tax exempt or not is based on their religious beliefs? You don't think that violates the 1st amendment?

Why should any church be tax exempt? They really should pay 2-3 times more than anyone else to make up for all the harm they have done over the years.

The issue of tax emption for churches isn't embedded in the Constitution. As some wag said, 'the 1st amendment guarantees freedom of religion, but that's free as in love, not free as in beer'. Taxes are a strictly secular affair..by default it applies to everybody the same, whether they're a church or not. It would be unconstitutional to single out a church and make them pay more tax than anybody else. It was federal revenue statutes in the early 1900s that gave tax-exempt status to certain non-profits (hospitals, schools etc...as well as religious organizations), not any Constitutional amendment.

Back in the 80s Bob Jones University lost it's tax-exempt status when it wouldn't give up their ban on interracial-dating. There was certainly nothing in the Constitution that saved BJU. The court ruled that by openly discriminating against black and white couples, the university had to forfeit the grace given to non-profits.

The difference is that BJU is not a church nor under the umbrella of a church. There were other discriminating nonaccredited colleges that were under a church that did not lose their tax exemption because of separation of church and state.

I agree that churches as a whole aren't guaranteed tax exempt status under the constitution, but you can't discriminate amongst them.

The first colonists came here to escape government interference in the practice of their faith in England. That's why the Framers put freedom of worship in the first amendment. It only took 250 years for this government to start interfering with in the practice of faith by imposing its own new secular sharia law on churches that don't submit to government-approved theology. The Jizya tax they will soon impose on traitorous religious beliefs will be the revocation of tax exempt status.

Another of my denomination's churches was set on fire a couple of hours ago in S. Carolina

The sickest part? THE KLAN BURNED IT DOWN 20 YEARS AGO, TOO, IN 1995!

http://heavy.com/news/2015/06/mount-zio ... -churches/

A fire has heavily damaged a black church in South Carolina that was rebuilt after it was burned down by members of the Ku Klux Klan in 1995.

The fire began at about 9 p.m. at the Mount Zion AME Church in Greeleyville, South Carolina, according to reports on Twitter.

It is at least the seventh black church in the South to burn since nine churchgoers were fatally shot June 17 at the Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina by a racially motivated gunman.

Meanwhile, today in Chicago:
http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/loca ... story.html

Woman, 49, killed in Lawndale

Police are investigating the death of a 49-year-old woman found early Tuesday in the Lawndale neighborhood on the city's West Side.

About 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to a call in the 4300 block of West Flournoy Street where they found the woman unresponsive inside a third-floor unit of an apartment building, said Officer Hector Alfaro, a Chicago Police Department spokesman. She was pronounced dead at 8:16 PM June 30, 2015

The woman was identified as Vanessa V. Taylor of the same address where she was found dead, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

Police did not immediately say how the woman died but said it was a homicide. Early Tuesday, a person was being questioned in the woman's death, and police said the incident appeared domestic-related.
Yesterday....

Man, 26, killed in Logan Square stabbing

A 26-year-old man was fatally stabbed in Logan Square early Monday, police said.

The man got into an argument with a neighbor in the backyard of a home in the 1900 block of North Rockwell Street about 3 a.m. Monday, said Officer Ron Gaines, a Chicago Police Department spokesman.

The man was stabbed in the chest, Gaines said. He was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 4:11 a.m., officials said.

He was later identified as Adrian Campos, 26, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. Officials there said Campos lived on the block where he was killed.

The man who died had initially been identified as a 25-year-old.

A man, whose age was not known, was taken into custody and charges against him were pending, Gaines said Monday.
That's just Chicago. Multiply that by Newark, Baltimore, DC, Bed-Sty, etc.

Black lives that ended violently by non-cops and non-racists also matter.

Turned out it wasn't arson.
