"the guy that took gold over Phelps last night - 8 years ago"
Damn, Phelps sporting a Stonewall era cruiser 'stache, was he trying to pick that kid up?

not trying to take anything away from Bolt, but if he's racing against the guys he beat in 2008 and they are all the same age, then hell, he could win gold medals until he's 50.

Gatlin is obviously on that Russian program. He shouldn't be running this well at 34.
There is some 24 years older today that will catch a 30s Bolt over the next few years. He will slow down. He already has. It's just that he has a LONG way to go for his slowdown to reach the "normal human" range.

I don't keep up with it. Just heard a few minutes ago Gatlins been popped for doping before. Go figure

Heh...the second time he didn't know. It was a jealous massage therapist that rubbed him down with a banned substance. He's sticking to that story.

read this as well
Four of the five fastest men in history used PEDs; Bolt is the only one left unsullied. The doping detectives are just now catching cheaters from the 2004 Olympics. Bolt's urine sits on a shelf, just in case.

He's the only one I think will wind up unsullied.

I felt the same way about Lance Armstrong - for a while, anyway. Now, I just assume everyone is dirty.

I want to believe that Bolt has an inherit advantage with his height and leg length
but yea, after Armstrong I don't believe anyone anymore.
I remember when we were heaping praise on Armstrong here for so long many years ago.

I still say let em use any type of steroid or chemical enhancement they want. Fuck it, I want to see somebody run the 100 meters in under 9 seconds, I don't care how they do it...

Never cared for Armstrong or cycling. It's as gay as soccer.

another reason we watch the olympics
World champion Michael Conlan shows his displeasure with the judges who give his fight to the Russian
"AIBA are cheats, they're f**king cheats,” he said. “Amateur boxing stinks from the core right to the top.”
“I’ll never box for the AIBA again.
“I don’t give a f**k if I’m cursing on TV. I wanted to win Olympic gold. My dream’s been shattered now."

apparently there is a definite lean for the Russians. The Russian coach comments on a fight where a Khazakstan ? fighter dominated all 3 rounds and the fight was awarded to the Russian
"What can I say, we all saw who won the fight. I am always for fair judging and I want the work of coaches and boxers to be assessed fairly... such situations in the boxing ring do not present out sport in a good light.
"Unfortunately, this is not the only such fight in the Olympics, it has rather become a tendency. Our boxer came out to fight and wanted to win, and it is not his fault that his arm was raised. But, unfortunately for boxing fans, we got what we got."
