Would you go on GMA and Today and 'report' on your kid? Subject her to all that ridicule because you didn't get a few fathers day cards?

You are right, tick. What kind of hateful parents would not accept their daughter's blackness? Just think of her suffering as a young lass knowing she was trapped in whitey's body.

Yes, she did.Professor Tiger wrote:Didn't Elizabeth Warren falsely claim to be a Native American?
But I agree with Sardis. The important thing is not whether EW was ACTUALLY a Native American while masquerading as one in order to get tenure. The important thing is she always felt that she is a Native American, and she finally came out of the closet. She should be celebrated for her incredible courage. In late April, the Boston Herald reported that in the 1990s, Harvard Law School – where Warren began teaching in 1992 and was granted tenure in 1995 – touted the Democrat’s Native American background as part of an effort to boost its diversity hiring record. Warren’s campaign said she didn’t bring up her heritage before Harvard hired her and that her background came out through later conversations.
The next week, Warren acknowledged listing herself as a minority in a directory of law professors. The directory included her on a list of minority professors from 1985 to 1996, the Boston Globe reported. Warren said she listed herself as a minority because she wanted to connect with “people for whom native American is part of their heritage and part of their hearts.” Brown, meanwhile, went on offense, calling for more scrutiny.
In late May, the Globe reported that Warren acknowledged that at some point after she was hired by Harvard and the University of Pennsylvania, she informed the schools of her Native American heritage. The revelation spurred a new round of questions, since Warren never brought up the fact a month earlier, instead saying she didn’t know why Harvard listed her as Native American. Earlier in the May, a report pointed out that she listed herself as “white” at the University of Texas Law School, prompting questions about consistency.
Throughout it all, Warren struggled to get past the story. Her responses to questions about why she identified as Native American were convoluted (and included a discussion of “high cheekbones” at one point).
And Brown’s campaign piled on, seeking to raise more questions about whether Warren used her claim to Native American heritage to her professional advantage. They continue to do so, citing the fact that Warren stopped listing herself as a minority in the faculty directory in 1995 -- the year she received tenure at Harvard -- in a recent press release.

That looks a little fishy, but at the same time, claiming native american ancestry is not the same as claiming to be a bona fide native american...

Re: Puterbac News Network and Political Discussion Thread
What percentage of ancestry qualifies one as a "bona fide native american"? Besides, she has as much proof to back up her claim that she has Native American ancestry as Delozal has that she's black.
When Warren parleyed her lie into a sweet tenured faculty position at Harvard, nobody demanded that she step down except Scott Brown. If she wasn't forced out of her job for ethnic fraud, why should Delozal?

Does it look like this? (start at 1:00)I doubt if any of you are on "Black Twitter" but it's a roaring debate.... there are a few (primarily black women) who want to either forcibly commit Dolezal to a mental institution or stone her to death.

Interesting article. I was surprised to see that cows kill so many people, but then I realized that cow flatulence is the #1 source of greenhouse gases. By that standard, the actual number of deaths caused by cows must be in the millions.

A real knee-slapper. However, cow methane is about 9th on the list, accounting for 5.5% of GHG emissions. It'll take a few hundred billion more cows in order for them to moove up to #1.Professor Tiger wrote:Interesting article. You know Charlie Walser? Has the place east of Sanderson? Well you know how they used to slaughter beeves, hit 'em with a maul right here to stun 'em... and then up and slit their throats? Well here Charlie has one trussed up and all set to drain him and the beef comes to. It starts thrashing around, six hundred pounds of very pissed-off livestock if you'll pardon me... Charlie grabs his gun there to shoot the damn thing in the head but what with the swingin' and twistin' it's a glance-shot and ricochets around and comes back hits Charlie in the shoulder. You go see Charlie, he still can't reach up with his right hand for his hat... Point bein', even in the contest between man and steer the issue is not certain.

Meet the world's top destroyer of the environment. It is not the car, or the plane,or even George Bush: it is the cow.
A United Nations report has identified the world's rapidly growing herds of cattle as the greatest threat to the climate, forests and wildlife. And they are blamed for a host of other environmental crimes, from acid rain to the introduction of alien species, from producing deserts to creating dead zones in the oceans, from poisoning rivers and drinking water to destroying coral reefs.
The 400-page report by the Food and Agricultural Organisation, entitled Livestock's Long Shadow, also surveys the damage done by sheep, chickens, pigs and goats. But in almost every case, the world's 1.5 billion cattle are most to blame. Livestock are responsible for 18 per cent of the greenhouse gases that cause global warming, more than cars, planes and all other forms of transport put together.
