first mothers day with no kids around which was sad--one in cali-- one in boulder=--one in Tulsa with a grandson's baseball tourney--so wifey was a bitch all day long and turned her menopausal fury upon me. I comforted myself with some absolute and whatever the simplyjuice mixer was to numb myself from her barrage of verbal threats and the stream of obscenities and tears. weird sometimes that you supported and enabled your kids to produce the tools they need to move hundreds of miles from you. thankfully the one I have left locally has all the grandkids but the fact they are back today did me no good yesterday facing the beast alone. I really hate menopausal women---I guess I could kill her but everybody would know I was the one who did it.

Cal fires off a couple of rounds toward Duke in their recruitment of Diallo

Coach K has taken the approach of come here, go to the NBA and if you fail, you're still a Duke guy and will be taken care of

"Duke's pitch was just like, if I come to Duke, I'll be set for life," Diallo said." It's just a great school, all in all, you know?""

Cal , without mentioning Duke, called bullshit on that and some in the media picked up on it, referencing the kid that just left Duke because he didn't perform to K's standards

you're not going to like my answer. How many kids that transfer get to come back and have an autograph tour in the state?

---------------------------------

After Gonzaga got beat in the NCAA Tournament, former Wildcat Kyle Wiltjer thought he would just come back to Kentucky to visit former teammates and friends.

Instead, his trip turned into an autograph tour across the state that drew plenty of UK fans as well as media members wanting to talk to him about his two years with the Wildcats.

Wiltjer admits his story is "interesting" because his transfer worked out well for him as well as Kentucky. Wiltjer was part of UK's 2012 national title team.

"No one has done this before. This is something unique. The fact I transferred and then came back and got this kind of reception, I can't thank everyone enough," Wiltjer said.

Wiltjer knew Gonzaga fans, who are very rabid about basketball, probably would not believe the fan turnout he got.

"They have a similar culture over there so they may believe it, but it is such a bigger scale here. You come to Harrodsburg, a small town, and all these people come out to say hi. You have all these little cities with fans coming out and that makes it cool," Wiltjer said.

"It was an amazing ride for me in college. I had two amazing years at Kentucky and then had a great time at Gonzaga and made the tournament both times. It's just an amazing feeling the way UK fans are still treating me. I am really at a loss for words. The love UK fans have given me is just overwhelming."

well...to be fair here - not every transfer is so well received.

But its a far cry from Coach K telling a recruit he fucked his program

This was almost as bad as the beatdown by Words. Probably only Ron Mexico remembers that, though...

Welp, Justin Jackson has removed his name from the draft, so we'll have 3 starters back, plus Hicks and Britt who have both played major minutes and will be seniors, and Pinson who will be a junior. If our incoming recruits are even decent they should get some minutes. We should be alright next year. Certainly not as flashy as the UK and Dook squads are purported to be, but maybe UK's incoming class will be more of the whiff variety than the John Wall/DeMarcus Cousins variety. We'll see...

I'll get an early start and predict unc to win the national championship next season...

so the day that Marcus Lee announces his return to UK, Charles Matthews announces he is transferring

Cal must really think he has a shot at Bolden

Calipari dropped the ball on this one... again. Bolden was going to Dook all along and Cal could have had Jarred Allen who IMO is a better player. Cal basically quit his recruitment on Allen thinking he'll ink Bolden. Now Allen has removed UK from his list.
