Going back in time to right after Magic announced, here is an article originally from Esquire on NBA groupies. Robin Power figures in it prominently. I remember her from back in the day. She used to have me open. What's more impressive is that she is still at it today, getting the maximum from the groupie lifestyle.

"Honestly," says Miss Power, "there's no star that I haven't been with—well, there's one I'd like to meet."P

The young ladies laugh, all except Miss Power, who lifts her chin delicately.P

The last time I asked an interesting question ("Who here likes basketball players the most?"), all the young ladies had turned and looked at Miss Power, and Miss Power, throwing both hands in the air, had crashed over backward in her chair and nearly knocked herself unconscious.P

"Absolutely," says Miss Power.P

"How would you do it?" I say. "Every move! Leave out nothing!"P

The idea was to mix two sports and redesign their logos. Being a fan of both football (or soccer) and basketball, I decided to redesign NBA logos and make them look like football logos. Every logo you see is color correct and matches the idea of the original logo.
