Gallup: Obama Administration Wins High Approval Ratings Worldwide - U.S. News and World Report
http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/oba ... id=U142DHP
The Obama administration has the highest approval rating of any country in the world among foreign citizens, according to a new poll conducted by Gallup. Forty-five percent of those polled approved of U.S. leadership, down one percentage point from 2013.
..//..in Russia, 82 percent disapproved of U.S. leadership and 70 percent disapproved of E.U. leadership. Following Russia, the highest disapproval of the U.S. comes from the Palestinian Territories, at 72 percent
So there you have it. Oprama gets high marks except from the russkies, the terrorists, and the teaparty (not necessarily in that order).

Just a quick look back...at the worldview of dubya. The most striking thing - the high U.S. approval numbers when Clinton left office and how they went in the dumper during the Bush years.

Toe's approval rating has taken a pretty big hit, too, which is even more amazing considering how low it was to start with...

As recently as last fall, Gov. Mary Fallin, a Republican, indicated that suggestions of a relationship between oil and gas activity and seismicity were speculation, and that more study was needed.
In a news release issued yesterday, Ms. Fallin called the Geological Survey's endorsement of that relationship significant, and said the state was dealing with the problem.
at the close of her remarks, Gov. Fallin was heard to say "umm....did you feel that?"

Just saw this from a full-fledged member of the MMGW College of Cardinals, NOAA. It addresses the question of the relationship between El Nino cycles and the climate.
https://www.vsp.ucar.edu/cgc/20thCelebr ... tavas-.pdf
I was amazed at its honesty. It basically says that:
1. El Nino cycles have been happening for a long time - much longer than any possible human causes.
2. El Ninos have a major impact on the climate.
3. The causes of El Nino are nowhere near understood by science.
Further evidence that MMGW is more faith-based religion than logic-based science.

Fracking is the major cause for lower fuel costs, which HELP the poor the most.....amazing how the champions of the poor can't publicly embrace something that benefits the poor.

In the U.S., where GM still makes most of its money, the company sold more than 198,000 pickups, the best first quarter for the vehicles in eight years, according to Ward's Automotive. The company also sold nearly 55,000 big SUVs, the best January-through-March period in seven years as people got used to gas prices that have been $3 per gallon or lower for six months. This week, regular was around $2.48, according to AAA.
The increased profit on trucks is "clearly a favorable tailwind," Chief Financial Officer Chuck Stevens said, boosting GM's bottom line by $500 million during the quarter.

During the Great Gas Rape during the summer of 2008, the oil companies said the reason they jacked up the price of gasoline over $4/gallon was because the Chinese were suddenly buying millions of gas guzzling SUV's. (I didn't realize there were so many Ford Expedition and Chevy Suburban dealerships in Beijing and Shanghai, but I digress.) Higher demand = higher prices, and all that.
So right now, when the US is buying a lot of SUV's, why is the price of gas still relatively low at $2.48/gallon?
