No 8 part series. Just a reply. Took me about two minutes to bang that out. But you have a point: wasting 2 minutes on that and another 30 seconds on this reply to you is wasted time.

Very entertaining video - cant believe they were questioning the late hit - that will be called every time and every level.

Otherwise they convinced me the refs cheated Auburn out of victory.

After that, I don't want to hear about UT fans griping about officiating.

No doubt. This is giving BoJ a run for his money.

Yeah, the fact that the late hit is questioned is beyond hilarious. Also, hello.

I didn't think he had much money.

So Muschamp to USCe. My best wishes to both. Everybody expected Muschamp to be a head coach again at a respectable program. I didn't think it would be this quick.

Now we've gone five years with 5 different DC's. That alone explains why our defense has been so bad.

And now that the perception is Malzahn is captain of a sinking ship, it's going to be harder to get a top flight DC to replace him. The rumor has it that AU wants our DC, Charles Kelly, but unless they're willing to pay out the butt I don't think he makes a short-sighted decision to jump.

FSU fans wanted Kelly's head after his first year when he inherited a ton of NFL talent after the National Championship year and the defense struggled time and time again. It's now apparent that the talent was there but the players were more interested in making highlight reels and avoiding injuries for the draft than being football players.

Next year's defense should be a Top 5-calibre unit. We'll lose some solid players (Ramsey, Smith, Lawrence-Stample) but the best players on the unit will be returning and several injured players will be available.

A top flight DC at Auburn, like Kelly, who instantly succeeds in fielding a solid defense (like Chizik did at NC), would be a lock to replace Malzahn if he gets fired after next year. That might be an attractive gamble for somebody - especially one who wants to upgrade to the major leagues (the SEC).

Supposedly AU has upped the ante on the Charles Kelly sweepstakes and are offering well over double his current salary (which was scheduled for a hefty bump anyway). In addition they're offering a 3 year contract so even if Gus gets canned he'd be in a good position. It'll be interesting...

Of course if dumbass Pruitt had stayed at FSU he'd almost certainly be a HC candidate this year with all the openings but he couldn't keep Jeremy Junior in his pants.

Nice to know we're still going after Kelly. Auburn clearly subscribes to the liberal theory that the best way to solve a problem is to throw money at it.

Here's to the earnest hope that Kelly would be, and I quote, "Worth....every....cent..." We haven't had much of that.

I don't know how good he is. Hell, nobody really does - he's had two years on the job, one underachieving and one overachieving. But the chance to make more in 3 years than you've earned your entire lifetime is hard to turn down.

Don Brown at BC would be an excellent hire for one of the bigger programs. He has a proven track record and what he did at BC this year is spectacular. It's tough to field a top defense when your offense is 3-and-out almost every single possession but BC did it. If you use the raw NCAA statistics, BC had the 3rd worst offense and the best defense in the nation. If Kelly does jump ship, I hope Brown is the first call for Jimbo but I think he has other guys in mind.

I heard Kelly turned us down. Pruit went over to the Dark Side. So I have no idea who our next DC will be.

I don't think there's any chance Pruitt was EVER going to end up at AU. He's a Bama guy through and through, if Saban hadn't offered him the job it would have been Meatchicken. On the bright side, Bama now has two of the biggest coordinator caricatures on its sidelines though both are excellent coaches.
