in this century we had Tubby Smith mailing it in and Gillispie's drunk ass going skinny dipping at some hotel pool.
The bravado is we're killing it with Cal and we're loving it. It won't last but we're going to enjoy it while we can
Then we'll get Jay Wright and go back to Tubby Smith basketball

What's wrong with getting to a FF with seniors? It's fine to do it with OADs but not with seniors?

Hedge, we post on a board that has sass, and that sass has to be posted by men with computers. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Hedge? I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for Floater, and you curse peanut butter. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That Floater's death, while tragic, probably saved computers. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me to post sass, you need me to post sass. We use phrases like Bon Jovi, Maui Backets, and wifi issues with plaster walls. We use this sass as the backbone of a life spent goofing off. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very sass that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you login, and post some sass. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to.

We shall see. The cupboard isn't exactly going to be bare in Chapel Hill next year. Hard for me to see anybody on this team except Brice Johnson going high in the draft. If we have Berry (who has played better this year than Paige and I believe was more highly rated coming out of high school), Jackson, Meeks and Hicks back next year, combined with Pinson and Britt, there's no reason we shouldn't make another run next year. We'll have another seasoned, veteran team coming off at minimum a FF run. Of course, the NCAA may have something to say about any postseason hopes we have, but next year's team should be pretty strong...

Every one of the above mentioned players would be pushed by Calipari to turn pro if they played for Kentucky. Roy is interested in winning games and hanging banners for his university, just as the uncaa hired him to do. Calipari is interested in seeing how many players he can put in the NBA, (to bolster his huge ego) not in hanging championship banners. Just wonder if that was the main topic of discussion when the UKAA hired him. Reckon they said, "OK Cal, don't be concerned with winning championships, we're hiring you to win the recruiting battles every year and put us on the map for having the most players to declare early for the draft. Don't be concerned with dook and unc catching us with the number of championship banners in the rafters, just get our boys to the pros. That'll make all of Big Blue Nation stick out their chest with pride. I think not.
All this talent and only 1 banner to show for it..... good money earned right there, Cal.

All that really says is how tough it is to win an NC. UK had the horses to win a couple more than they have, certainly the Wall/Cousin team that didn't even get to the FF, certainly last year, and a couple others that stumbled in the regular season but were playing very well in March. But Carolina can say the same thing. We had almost everybody back from the '93 championship team and added Stackhouse and Rasheed Wallace and lost in the second round to BC. I also thought we had the best team in '95 and definitely in '98, to say nothing of several teams in the 80's. Dean Smith was undeniably a great coach and had great talent but "only" won 2 NC's. It's just not an easy task to accomplish...

Roy and unc's cheating discussed on Finebaum's Show yesterday.. Not a good idea for Matt Jones to be speeding through Chapel Hill anytime soom. Scroll over to the 13::00 mark to hear his take on why unc should be banned for their cheating scandal. Check it out.

The best part of that Finebaum segment is at the 32:00 minute mark when some dude calls in ranting about Coach K and Finebaum turns it around and sasses the caller's felony record...
