Shame Louisville wasn't in it, they easily could've represented the spot Villanova took in the Final Four.

Just hand unc the trophy... they've had one of those Dook cakewalks through the tourney.

Well, we beat the team that knocked your team out, I doubt UK would've provided any tougher challenge than IU...

Lack of reliance on PSF may be to UNC's advantage in the FF:

"Villanova, Syracuse and Oklahoma each attempt more than 40 percent of their shots from behind the arc and rank among this season's 60 most 3-point reliant teams."

Every UK fan told you we'd lose to IU

but IU is no challenge. Their season was a success in their eyes after beating UK.

Tom Crean is once again, the real deal to IU fans

until they suck again

I read about Roy's last ditch effort to keep recruiting alive by denying the UNC mens team was involved with the scandal.

Yeah, that was the best case scenario for UK, because it allowed UK fans to actually believe they would've beaten UNC if we had met. If only you could've beaten poor little IU. Oh well, we'll never know now, will we? But of course, we all do know Carolina would've punked this inferior UK team. Never fear, UK will reload and roll those loaded dice again next year. And the year after that, and the year after that. Certainly is working out pretty well so far, with a couple of glaring exceptions, which actually aren't exceptions but what can be expected with that sort of senior scorning philosophy. But I'm sure UK fans can live with an occasional NIT appearance and second round flame out sandwiched b/w FF runs. But this year ain't one of them...

As one who hates both fan bases, I don't understand Kentucky bravado. In this century you have 1 national championship and 4 final fours. Connecticut, Duke, Michigan State, and UNC have fared better. The best you can argue is you are as good as Kansas.

You've got to expect that UK will win a few more if they keep the train rolling like they have. Of course, there are going to be a few whiffs in there when the high school hot shots don't pan out to be nearly as good as expected, which is going to happen (witness UK fans excoriation of Skal this year), and of course, too, other schools are going to get some of those guys as well (unfortunately Duke being the main one, but other guys, i.e., Simmons, are going to choose other random schools). Obviously UK fans are happy with this model, but I can't fault Roy for his. It's been a pretty long FF drought for UNC (7 years), but we were a season ending injury (Kendall Marshall) away from having a legit title run a few years ago, but that shit happens...

Well that and winning the Big Ten. Our entire season didn't count on us beating UK. The only reason it happened was because of the bracket heads in the NCAA. Sure it was nice cherry on top of the sundae but don't flatter yourselves. Had they won it would have been oh well same ole story and hope we can beat UNC.

If Crean can continue coaching and motivating players like he did after the Maui tourney, focus on defense, keep getting players who are overlooked by the likes of UK, and develop those kids into juniors / seniors who become good players and talked about for the NBA, then I am okay with it. Considering where he started when he took over the mess, I would say we are back on track to be in the mix every year and that is all you can ask for.

Most 'reasonable' Kentucky fans knew UK wouldn't beat either UI or unc... not with this bunch of uninspired bigs under the basket... when a team with this much 'supposeably' top talent couldn't beat Auburn or Tennessee, how on earth did you think we'd beat a top 10 team in the tourney. Also, UK was outcoached in every matchup in their bracket. Like I've posted many times before, Calipari is an A+ recruiter but a C- bench coach. Jay Wright is looking better and better every day for alot of 'older and experienced' UK fans. This OAD stuff is getting a bit old.
