"19 kegs were floated (6 in the first thirty minutes)"
6 kegs in 30 minutes?

No. It wasn't about money. It was about preventing chaos.

We had 400 people at the reception and 4 bars. People were in there for 90 minutes before we entered due to multiple delays (one of which was a post wedding, nerve-induced shit by yours truly). Hell, four guys were tailgating for the wedding in the Wachovia bank lot across from the church. My wife's stuffy, WASPy family was aghast. I thought it was great and fitting.
Apparently, when I walked into the church and saw all 400 people, I turned white and said "oh shit." I don't remember that. I was so nervous I started saying my wife's vowels too and realized it midway through saying them.

LMAO. I just realized what I did. I worked until 1:30 last night and was up and at it by 7:30 this morning. That, along with dad being back in the hospital, has me a bit out of it.

Congrats, Bama.
You probably didn't need the refs' help.

We didn't get it, either.

Speaking of getting help from the refs, they called a Notre Dame TD with 35 seconds left when the runner was obviously down. Even the replay official didn't overturn it. But they kicked off and Stanford scored with 6 seconds left anyway.

That was a bad call. The funny thing is, if they had ruled him short on the 6inch line, ND lines up, runs it in the next play, which takes enough time off the clock to prevent Stanford from going downfield to score.

Yeah, probably so. I was thinking they should let ND score earlier (ala the Bear) to have enough time to come back. But still, how many teams would have gotten that call?

This didn't affect the outcome of the game, but the pro-Bam ref'ing here was obvious.

I LOVE the tears of Stan and Bramblett. I am SOOO glad Eli doesn't do that. It would be pretty embarrassing.
Anyway...
You will have to be specific. If you are talking the late hit, that was justified. Not the guy up high who engaged inbounds, but the guy at the knees who didn't.
If you are talking the unsportsmanlike on Muschamp and the bench, I have no doubt that was earned. There are some lip-readers who can probably help with that. Honestly, Will is lucky that he didn't get a 2nd unsportsmanlike, which would have gotten him tossed. Gary and Verne noted the ref's restraint and praised him.
If you are talking a missed hold, LMAO. Look at the tape, there are tons on both sides. There always are.
Now, if you are looking at plays, look at the jersey grabbing PI that did NOT get called against Auburn and get back to me. Or the repeated times the Auburn rush end lined up off sides with no call. Maybe the two late hits on Coker in the 4thQ? Etc, etc...
In the end, Bama and Auburn were both flagged 8 times each (Auburn declined one Bama flag). Auburn had 62 yards in penalties and Bama had 65 (which would have been 70 if not for the decline). Did they miss some calls? Of course, and on both sides. They always do.
The tears, so good....lmao.
