Still at his Bedminster golf club, Donald Trump gave his first public response to a new U.S. government analysis suggesting North Korea is now able to miniaturize nuclear warheads to an extent that would allow them to be carried by missile with a truly remarkable and unhinged-sounding statement:

“North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States. They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen. He has been very threatening, beyond a normal state, and as I said, they will be met with fire, fury, and frankly power the likes of which this world has never seen before.”

I just saw a montage of Trump using the phrase "like the world has never seen" about a dozen times. So there's hope that he just talked out his butt with this new fave go-to phrase of his and didn't really threaten an all-out nuclear war.

What do you guys want Trump to do about North Korea?

If you say nothing, I sorta get that. The Iraq War taught me the perils of preemptive wars and their extremely unpredictable consequences. But there is a downside to doing nothing. What will you say when the obese teenager takes the next logical step, and says, "America, get all your troops out of South Korea or I will vaporize Los Angeles"?

Whatever Trump does, one thing is sure: there will be negative consequences. And even if he does exactly what you want him to do now, and the very predictable negative consequences happen, you will just hate Trump even more (if that is humanly possible) and say, "See! I told you so!" and demand his impeachment.

PS, we are on the same trajectory with Iran. That situation is even worse since their nuke missile program was formally blessed by a delusional US president. So whatever negative consequences result from whatever we do with NK, prepare to multiply it by 2.

I'm guessing it will be along the lines of "Do nothing. The Norks are no threat to us, even with nuked ICBM's aimed at us. If we would just negotiate with them, they will give up their nukes. Kim is a very nice person deep down.

If the the Norks try to blackmail us, or South Korea or Japan, then give them whatever they want. The reason we are in this situation is it's all Trump's fault, and part of his collusion with the Russians. Impeach Trump now.

Nuke those fuckers.

Yes, doing nothing is an option, with its pro's and con's.

But what would you do as POTUS if Kim doesn't launch anything, but says:

America, remove all your troops from South Korea, and keep your aircraft carriers 1,000 miles away from North Korea, or I'll nuke LA.
South Korea, order all US troops out of from South Korea, or I'll nuke Seoul.
Japan, order all US forces out of Okinawa and Yokosuka, or I'll nuke Tokyo.
Australia, withdraw from ANZUS and stop all cooperation with the US, or I'll nuke Sydney.
