Fucking Kesha is still new to me. My sight and hearing have gone downhill sharply in the past 18 months. I can't read without putting whatever I'm reading a half-inch from my face as I peer over my glasses or hold it straight-armed as far as I can get from my face.

Missed the Grammys, but my Twitter feed had interesting commentary, so now I may try to revisit the broadcast.
Also, damn...love won't keep them together:

I don't like this whole - take a decent song you can dance to and stick a 2 minute rap riff in it with the flavor de jour of the revolving door of rappers. I think that sucks. I did enjoy the camera panning to all the people in the audience trying to dance to those moments though. Taylor Swift was doing an over exaggerated Naughty By Nature Hip Hop Hooray thing. It was almost as awkward as everyone not a country singer trying to sing "Momma don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys" with Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson. Hell, even they forgot the words in the second verse.

The Grammys are a joke. I will give Justin Timberlake credit, though. Some years ago he won an award and Johnny Cash was also nominated (it might've been the MTV awards, I can't remember). During his acceptance speech he outright said it was a travesty and that Cash deserved the award more than anybody else that was nominated and that he considered that he was sharing the award with Cash. This was probably 10 years ago before Timberlake was as big a star as he is now. He went up a few notches in my book after that...

The only highlights of the Grammys were the Kendrick Lamar/Imagine Dragons mashup and the reaction of Taylor Swift and her posse when they announced Random Access Memories as Album of the Year...I think they thought that "Random" was going to be "Red"...
