I don't think it is lying. I think Brian had a stroke or something.
He was probably watching an episode of HBO's Girls, figured it was as harmless as NBC's Peter Pan, and instead saw his flesh and blood baby daughter fully nude, spread eagle, and taking it up the @ss or whatever Alison's been doing on that show, and some blood vessel in Brian's brain just exploded. And from that moment on, the brain cells have given him memories of moments in his life that never existed (like on that helicopter) in an effort to black out what he was watching. Call the stroke some kind of built in, emotional self-defense mechanism as a result of extreme emotional trauma.

We're going to need another Charles Martel at some point. They are coming after us, that's for sure.
Saladin once supposedly vowed to stable his horses in the Vatican. Not much has changed.

It appears that Brian Williams is not the only one who just had a stroke and is remembering things that never really happened.
Saddam Hussein's CIA ties are well known:
https://www.globalpolicy.org/component/ ... 36408.html
While many have thought that Saddam first became involved with U.S. intelligence agencies at the start of the September 1980 Iran-Iraq war, his first contacts with U.S. officials date back to 1959, when he was part of a CIA-authorized six-man squad tasked with assassinating then Iraqi Prime Minister Gen. Abd al-Karim Qasim.
I was mistaken about Sunoco - it was Standard Oil - but the Bush-bin Laden connection is well-documented (try Google):
http://www.denverpost.com/rodriguez/ci_4319898
"Bush claimed we'd bring back Osama bin Laden "dead or alive."
But the more we learn about the ties between the Bush family and the bin Ladens, questions like this one pop up: Did Bush really want to capture him?
With fewer than 50 ground troops surrounding the massive Tora Bora region in the mountains of Afghanistan where bin Laden was hiding, ground commanders pleaded for 800 more soldiers, according to Gary Berntsen, the CIA field commander whose book "Jawbreaker" goes into amazing detail about the botched paramilitary operation. Bernt-
sen and other ground commanders said the U.S. let Osama bin Laden get away.
Was this because of President George Bush's close ties to the bin Laden family?
In 1978, Bush and Osama bin Laden's brother, Salem bin Laden, founded Arbusto Energy, an oil company based in Texas.
Several bin Laden family members invested millions in The Carlyle Group, a private global equity firm based in Washington, DC. The company's senior advisor was Bush's father, former President George H.W. Bush. After news of the bin Laden-Bush connection became public, the elder Bush stepped down from Carlyle.
Interestingly, on Sept. 11, 2001, members of the Carlyle Group - including Bush senior, and his former secretary of state, James Baker - were meeting at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Washington, D.C., along with Shafiq bin Laden, another one of Osama bin Laden's brothers.
While all flights were halted following the terrorist attacks, there was one exception made: The White House authorized planes to pick up 140 Saudi nationals, including 24 members of the bin Laden family, living in various cities in the U.S. to bring them back to Saudi Arabia, where they would be safe. They were never interrogated."
CIA training bin Laden:
http://www.nbcnews.com/id/3340101/t/bin ... NjUPPnF-M4
Yet the CIA, concerned about the factionalism of Afghanistan made famous by Rudyard Kipling, found that Arab zealots who flocked to aid the Afghans were easier to “read” than the rivalry-ridden natives. While the Arab volunteers might well prove troublesome later, the agency reasoned, they at least were one-dimensionally anti-Soviet for now. So bin Laden, along with a small group of Islamic militants from Egypt, Pakistan, Lebanon, Syria and Palestinian refugee camps all over the Middle East, became the “reliable” partners of the CIA in its war against Moscow. . . . Indeed, to this day, those involved in the decision to give the Afghan rebels access to a fortune in covert funding and top-level combat weaponry continue to defend that move in the context of the Cold War. Sen. Orrin Hatch, a senior Republican on the Senate Intelligence Committee making those decisions, told my colleague Robert Windrem that he would make the same call again today even knowing what bin Laden would do subsequently. “It was worth it,” he said.

lol 'Reality' is the 60-second commercials interspersed between all that black-and-white military channel carnage that pumps you up. In the 21st-century global economy, America Inc. can't afford to mass slaughter whole populations. Going Dresden or Hiroshima on somebody is bad PR, and it definitely doesn't fit our business model. Liberators export chicken restaurants and theme parks...annihilators get bad customer reviews and eventually fade away. ISIS
will eventually fade away (although they could pop up occasionally, Kanye-style).

Two Philly cops charged with brutality; video shows man being struck, beaten
Read more at
http://www.philly.com/philly/news/20150 ... FQwtRzF.99
The key lines:
Police Commissioner Charles H. Ramsey suspended the officers with intent to dismiss. Before the video of their arrest of Rivera surfaced, the officers' account of what happened had been accepted as fact, Ramsey said.
On the 2700 block of North Sixth, the surveillance camera caught them knocking Rivera from his scooter, then grabbing and hitting him with fists and batons.
Flynn said that without the video, Rivera would have had little chance challenging the testimony of two police officers.
In 2012, [Officer] Robinson was named a defendant in a lawsuit that alleged he had beaten Darren Trammell, 28, during a trumped-up arrest. Trammell suffered a fractured orbital bone, lacerations, and other injuries, the suit said. . . . A day after his arrest, Tramell reported the incident to Internal Affairs, which cleared Robinson. . . . Tramell was eventually cleared of the criminal charges against him.
Public Defender Bradley S. Bridge said that because of the criminal charges against Robinson and McKnight, his office will begin reviewing the arrests they made in the past. Since 1995, his office has persuaded judges to overturn more than 500 criminal cases involving Philadelphia police officers who were later arrested on corruption charges

Gay marriage begins in Alabama though most counties defy the Fed Court and refuse to marry gays. The US Supreme Court will likely rule once and for all on gay marriage within the next year. My guess is they will vote, prob 5-4, to rule that banning gay marriage is unconstitutional. Justice Kennedy already showed his hand in the earlier ruling.

My former Alabama county of residence - Pickens County - is taking applications for, but not issuing, gay marriage licenses.
I wonder what the prison officials will do when inmates sue for the right to marry each other.

And I'm sure the first thing most illegals do once they've crossed the border is go to Disneyland

Yes, they can get married in the visiting room. But after the ceremony, the not-incarcerated party goes home. There are no honeymoons or conjugal visits (except for maybe in California). If our courts let inmates marry each other, every night is a honeymoon/conjugal visit. Inmates are not allowed to have sex with each other. Do we make exceptions if they are married? Do we put them in the same cell?
This is going to get complicated.

Nah. Let them get married but forbid official conjugal visits. Will they still have sex on the sly? Sure. But they're doing that already anyway and have for as long as there have been prisons.

Then the legal argument will be "We are legally married. How dare the state forbid us to act like married people?" If we get caught, how can we be punished for engaging in marital behavior?"
I guess the lawyers will sort all that out.

I don't think it will be a big concern. You give up freedoms in prison. I, as a hetero married man, would give up my right of marital sex when incarcerated.
Now, will an inmate sue? I would think so, they sue because the toilet paper isn't 2-ply, but I doubt it will make much difference.
