its been awhile since I've used my airline miles but I've been sitting on 30K or so miles from Delta.

Now I know as recently as like 2008, you could cash in 25k miles for a round trip ticket, so I'm thinking I'll use my miles to fly down to Dallas.

Its now 60K miles for a standard round trip ticket. That's absurd. They have essentially cut the value of airline miles by more than half.

I'm in Maryland Heights, Mo, a suburb in northwest St. Louis - about as far as you can get from East St. Louis and still be considered in the St. Louis area - close to the airport. There is a casino down the road so at least I'll have something to do.
