Today is the 4th anniversary of the F3 tornado that just about wiped out our little burg... seems just like yesterday though. We've got probably 80% of the town rebuilt, but many businesses took the insurance money and ran leaving the downtown part of town almost vacant. The 6 lives that were lost can never be replaced. Also on this day, Henry, Indiana was hit hard and several lives lost.
Here's a pic of a small part of the devestation that I've posted before... my house is just about 300 yards from the river in the upper left corner... watched it go over town from my basement window. Was scary to say the least, especially the 'train' sound that everyone talks about.

So you got screwed on getting a pile of insurance money because you didn't sustain any damage, is what you're saying?
Seriously, that's just insane. When the tornado jumped over my house 5 years ago, I was standing outside talking to my neighbor less than a minute earlier. I went inside to piss and then heard the wind kick up significantly and before I knew it, it was raining sideways. less than 2 min. later, it was calm but the 40-ft. fir tree on the corner of my yard was snapped in half. That tornado was nothing compared to what you went through, crotch, but if I hadn't had to piss, I probably wouldn't be typing this right now.

This is the tornado that flew over Paul's house, probably about 20 seconds before it got there. Listen how calm the guy is, he is sitting in a parking lot about a mile and a half from Stu's house...

Contrast that guy with this woman, might be the same tornado. Her husband is more level-headed...

Saint.... Even though I didn't get a pile of insurance money, I did get enough to fix my damage. The insurance adjuster listed my damage at $3200, but I had a $2000 deductible ( just raised it from $1000 about 6 months before the tornado ) to make my premium smaller. The only damage I had was to my gutter on the front of the house where an apple tree split and crashed into it and the ceiling and soffit of a double carport I had built behind my house. I was fortunate. My neighbor who lives approx 100 yards to the north of me only had minor damage to his double wide and he got $14,000.... he spent probably $1000 to fix his damage and pocketed the rest. We both had the same insurance carrier, Farm Bureau... but had different adjusters. Go figure. I have since changed Insurance carriers.

Senior Night, or day as it happens to be this year, today at Rupp. I was fortunate to attend the festivities when Bowie, Turpin, Master, Heitz and Beal were honored and Happy sang "My Old Kentucky Home". Kentucky played LSU with Jerry 'Ice' Reynolds and dominated the Tigers.
Here's Happy rendition of MOKH when Lock,Davander, Madison, Jenkins and Bennett were seniors.. . one of his best.

I can't wait to read Hedge's comments on the 0:27 and 2:05 marks of Crotch's video.
