Tick,

I am relieved that you're back and in fighting spirit. After watching your hopes and dreams of a Trump impeachment go up in smoke last Thursday, a lesser man would have run away and sulked in seclusion like AA. But you came back with your boxing gloves on, still swinging. I respect that.

Chin up; there's always 2020.

S,ITYS.

Your attempt to validate an acronym (that you made up yourself for that express purpose, which makes it even worse) by using it in every other post is one of the bigger fails on these boards in quite awhile. Which, as we all know, means you'll keep flogging it relentlessly...

My supply of S,ITYS's exceeds Tick's supply of "THIS TIME, we're gonna impeach Trump for sure!" stories.

But your point is well taken. From now on, I think I will respond with clips of Wiley Coyote trying to catch the Road Runner. There are plenty of those too.

That kiss-the-ring cabinet session, omg. That had to be tough to watch for even the biggest trumptards. "I declare that I have done the most good ever, and now my 22 sycophant appointees seated here will one by one stimulate me vocally."

Make that 21. Mattis chose to only praise his military people.

Could it be that all of that solicited praise will serve as backdrop for a Trump move to fire Robert Mueller? Trump loyalists are lining up to make the case for giving the special counsel the axe. So far nobody has used the word 'purge'.

I suspect Sessions testimony today will set the tone for what Trump does next

Mueller definitely has a conflict of interest, it was a bad move to appoint him given there he has motivation to go against Trump.

It doesn't help he's built his legal staff with democrats who actively supported Hillary Clinton, and in one case ,defended her.

Firing Comey was a bad idea. Firing Mueller would be an even worse idea.

That meeting with Trump's staff where he demanded loyalty, savored the defeat of his last opponent, and planned his next move against his opponent, probably looked like this:

"I don't feel I have to wipe everybody out, Reince. Just my enemies."

The optics of it would look bad but its going to send a message to Washington.

At this point, based on what I've read, I'd fire Mueller too.

The idea of a special investigator by itself is a bad idea. The man would be a considered a failure if he doesn't uncover something, therefore, he *is* going to find something.

If he's loading up his office with Clinton supporters, its time to clean that office out.

Fire him. He will be investigated by a group of enemies, leaking and distorting anything they can find. They will expand the investigation and keep investigating until Trump's out of office. It's the only hope the bed wetters have of regaining power.

Firing Mueller would give the appearance of guilt, where there is none, according to the former Director of the FBI. I think it's foolish to give ammunition to your enemies, especially when they don't have any ammunition of their own.

But firing Mueller would inflame the snowflakes to a degree never before seen. That would indeed be fun to watch.

I think most would agree that Julius Caesar is high art. I guess the catch is that most Trump people, including Trump himself, have never heard of it.

Someday, when we have a Democrat President, can conservatives do the same kind of "high art" currently being practiced on Trump? If the Dem president is black, can conservative "artists" depict him/her in a slave auction? If the Dem president is a female, can conservative "artists" portray her being raped? Will the Left consider that ground breaking, cutting edge and thought provoking?

I'm just trying to understand the new rules here. Help me out...

The lines between "bad taste" and "high art" blur a little bit when this is how the characters are dressed.

[img2]https://static01.nyt.com/images/2017/06 ... ter768.jpg[/img2]

Especially when you think about the fact that there is no way that anybody would legitimately compare Julius Caesar, one of the most capable and successful men in history with the buffoon that is Donald Trump, except specifically to get to the imagery where Donald Trump gets stabbed a bunch of times.

The play isnt "high art" in that form (ie its not a performance of the tragedy written by William Shakespeare), its an entirely new play that is satire or parody.

It's called "Trump assassination porn."

Imagine if Alex Jones did that with Obama.
