Of course not. Stalin, Pot, Mao all were very pro-religion. In fact, they were all Christians. Everybody knows that.
Not only that, few people realize that the Iranian Ayatollahs and ISIS are, in fact, very pro-Israel.

Evidently, the Washington Post uses liberal blogs as their source much like DSL. Always bites you in the butt...

If Scalise rose to the rank of Grand Wizard of the KKK, he would still be qualified to be the Senate Majority Leader in the Democrat party.
When Byrd started out as a Democrat, he was joined by Strom Thurmond, George Wallace and Jesse Helms. Where those three decided to leave the Democrats over the race issue, Byrd actually had a conversion experience and chose to quit being a racist rather than quit being a Democrat.

Those convenient "conversion experiences" never earn forgiveness for Repblicans. That didn't work for Trent Lott, whose infraction was saying nice things about Strom Thurmond on the old coot's 100-something birthday, not being a Grand Wizard like Byrd. Yet Byrd gets forgiveness while Lott got run out of his job. Lott should have had a conversion experience instead of apologizing to everybody including some potted plants.

Those "nice things" he said were in support of the Dixiecrat's racist, segregationist 1948 platform, which is akin to Marge Schott's "Everybody knows that [Hitler] was good in the beginning" comments.
Some stuff you just cannot say - particularly in the public square.

Yet no calls for Joe Biden to lose his job over these quotes in the public square:
[Regarding Obama] "I mean, you've got the first mainstream African American who is articulate and bright and clean and a good looking guy."
"In Delaware, the largest growth in population is Indian Americans. You cannot go to a 7-11 or a Dunkin' Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I'm not joking!"
"They gonna put y'all back in chains!"

Well, it's Biden, but I will concede the point.

Oh, and . . .
Guns Don't Kill People, vol. MMMXLVIII:
http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2014 ... on-walmart
Idaho woman shot dead by two-year-old son was nuclear scientist
The woman who was accidentally shot dead by her two-year-old son in an Idaho Walmart is described by those who knew her as a gun lover, a motivated academic and a successful nuclear research scientist.
“She was a beautiful, young, loving mother who was taken much too soon,” Veronica Rutledge’s father-in-law, Terry Rutledge, told the Spokesman-Review. “She was out on what was supposed to be a fun-filled day with her son and nieces.”
Rutledge was shot at about 10.20am on Tuesday, in the electronics department of the Hayden, Idaho, Walmart. Kootenai County sheriffs said her son, sitting in the front of a shopping cart, reached into Rutledge’s purse, found her weapon and shot his mother.
It's a tragedy, pure and simple.
The "but" for me . . . OK, I understand the gun was in a special zippered compartment of her purse and she didn't expect the kid to be able to get to it - but did the nukular scientist have the safety on?

Now, I realize that I'm a California liberal elitist, but this is the other issue I have - why is there a compelling need to carry a concealed weapon in a grocery store in Idaho?
South Central Los Angeles? Sure.
New York? Absolutely!
Detroit? Must have!
But Idaho is 43rd in violent crime rate and the community where they lived was at the bottom of the violent crime rate in the state. What is the motivation for packing in Walmart in Hayden, ID?
*** BREAKING NEWS *** Dilettante that I am, I did not realize that - at the urging of law enforcement - many newer models of automatic pistols do not have external safeties. Watched a video of a gun store owner explain how they increased the trigger pull on the models without safeties and a two year old can't pull a 5-lb. PSI trigger . . .
Except for this one time. And the time in April when the 2-year old shot his 11-year old sister . . .

Yes, I've owned a gun. I'm not against gun ownership. I'm against ridiculous things like letting drunks in bars carry concealed weapons, letting psychos and criminals buy guns without background checks at gun shows, and I'm for gun registration.

For years, Harvard's experts on health economics and policy have advised presidents and Congress on how to provide health benefits to the nation at a reasonable cost. But those remedies will now be applied to the Harvard faculty, and the professors are in an uproar.
Members of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, the heart of the 378-year-old university, voted overwhelmingly in November to oppose changes that would require them and thousands of other Harvard employees to pay more for health care. The university says the increases are in part a result of the Obama administration's Affordable Care Act, which many Harvard professors championed.
