was that just red meat? They switched from specifically steak to "meat eaters' about halfway thru the story.
I can give up the occasional steak I have - really - how many Americans now have steak as a weekly part of their diet? but I ain't giving up pork.

From what I took from the article, the main culprit is beef, but all meat creates TMAO in the bloodstream. I can even move pork to the same place in my diet as beef (meaning, rarely). I can't NOT do chicken. I work out too much to totally drop my protein that much. I drink a protein shake multiple times a week for breakfast, too, so now I have to look at what that is doing to my gut bacteria. If I have any real exposure to problems, that would be it.

Sardargarh, India. Occupying a small ridge, this strong fortress with two large sets of walls was designed for both defence and to function as a lavish palace.

one thing that is pretty common in India - the inside of their homes and public space are colorful - full of pastels and ornately decorated but on the whole they don't put much effort into doing anything about the outside.
I think part of that might be the rampant crime. I had friends that lived on a second story apartment that had bars on the windows because thieves would use ladders to get in - and this was middle class.

my wife spilled her doggie bag full of steamed mussels on the floor of my Siena. I scrubbed the fuck out of it and put 2 of those scented thingies in the air vents and it still smells like Mario's morning breath. it's like a Seinfeld episode come to life.

Did she punish you after she spilled the mussels? After all, I'm sure it was made out to be your fault and you sheepishly took the blame. And the scorn...
