If he can walk without tripping he will be an improvement over Harris. Also he is six six so he can see the field. Half of harrises passes are tipped by d tackles.

I LOL'ed during the game when the announcers were gushing about our D-lineman reaching up to tip a pass, then in the replay it was obvious it hit him in the shoulder pads.

Harris was awful in this game (he was pretty good against LSU, the only other Harris game I saw this year), but he can definitely walk without tripping. He has pretty good wheels but looks like he's been overcoached. He held onto the ball wayyyyyy too long. He didn't look like that against LSU and was much more natural. I wonder if MacElwain is trying to turn him into a pocket passer, multiple read QB which just isn't his strong suit. I have no idea about Franks but I'm serious when I say that if you're expecting Franks to come in and start on Day 1 and be brilliant, you're going to be very disappointed. He's very raw.

He won't be and doesn't have to be brilliant. Adequate would be better than we have now.

Well today, he will have to be stellar. I don't see it happening. Much like last week I am hoping for a good outcome but my expectations are actually laying on the floor next to my chair here in Brazil. Hopefully, we'll be better next year. I'm happy we won the east, but Mississippi state had more of a chance of winning the east if they had been in our division. A good drubbing by Bama will put most of the zealots closer to the reality's that the East division was very poor this year. If they lose to us then that mean they completely screwed the pooch and didn't show up.

I don't even have to see this game. Game Cast is describing our offense very well. Incomplete, loss of yards, blocked punt, safety, etc.....

Luckily, it is describing our defense as doing a pretty damn good job. They'll get tired by the 2nd half.

I think we will have to teach the offense how to play some defense when they have the ball.

I know by all accounts any normal team go's for the 40 yd field goal. But our coaching staff must really have to wonder if it is even worth trying them. Just go for it on 4th and whatever. Punts, Kicks, offensive plays.....Just go for it.

We didn't want to at least have a lead at one point in this game. Even if only one point. It would have made the Nick mad. Hell, this game is going to be bad enough as it is.

That Bama punter is damn good. Gamecast makes it look like he fires guided missiles off of his foot.

If we can get close enough maybe the punter can kick the drop kick field goal?

The defense is going to keep this respectable for a little while. Good job D!

If the unthinkable happens and Bama loses, and Stanford loses to USC, we might just sneak into the playoff IF we beat Clemson. But the most likely scenario is that Bama, Stanford and Clemson will win...

I was reading a little bit of debating about that scenario this morning and how you guys could sneak into the playoffs. I think it is feasible. Just don't see us beating Bama. Sadly, for me this is just a moment where I am glad we did as well as we did and made it to the championship. But in my mind I know that the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th best team in the SEC are watching us play in this game tonight and wishing they were in the EAST division right now.

I believe this is the point where everything will get out of hand for our guys. But we look much better than I thought we would so far.

I visited the UNC campus yesterday for the first time. Even saw the Dean Dome. Looks like a cool place.

Nothing unexpected yesterday. UF did what it could, and didn't what it couldn't. Having the lead in the 2nd Q was fun only in that if deferred the blowout until the 2nd half. The last TD drive made the score respectable. Looks like a backyard game against Michigan again on NYD.

So far miss St. Auburn Lou wins tam loss. 3_1 good start. Too bad our qb is dead. We might be able to add to the win column if we had a real one.
