Scuttle is Pastner is done at Memphis - even with some crazy buyout or bonus at the end of the season

If he's not let go, he may leave on his own accord. Despite his high winning %, he's not meeting the lofty expectations of the fan base, and its showing in attendance. He's losing to teams that Memphis has no business losing to, and recruits are leaving left and right. Memphis has been a basketball school for all of my lifetime, but Pastner (with a good deal of assistance from Justin Fuente) has helped transition the school into a football school the past few years.
He needs a position where expectations are a lot lower.

I've been reading he is completely out of touch with the AAU player mentality and word is out that recruits don't respect him.
Of course that is opposing fans opinions so ymmv

The lack of respect comes from Pastner's high moral values...recruits don't like having to mind their manners or language whenever he is around...
His high likability gets him in the doors pretty easily, and parents love him, which gets him in recruit's top 3 or 5 lists pretty regularly.

Likable to parents, maybe, but if he sours at every cuss word, I can't imagine many kids would like him...

UK/Mizzou is fools gold but Cal admitted that he screwed up trying to make Skal an inside big man when he a jump shooter and Willis has found his game. Good to see a Kentucky boy that has been on the bench for 2 years earn a spot on the floor.

While I was Detroit this week, my team went to a career fair at T A&M. We ended up interviewing several and will be making 3 offers.
A prof came by and told the team nobody knew who we were and that's why we weren't getting more people...which I thought was odd.

Forgot to mention I watched the LSU/Georgia game the other night, which was my first look at Ben Simmons. That guy is a stud. Not really sure who he reminds me of, but Antawn Jamison is not a bad comparison, at least from what I saw...

Ben Simmons is a phenomenal, disciplined player. He will be a very good pro and is a consensus #1 pick. Oklahoma's Buddy Heild is definitely #2.
