What you did was allow the DA to have more leverage over the defendant before going to trial. So, now the dude will plead out to lesser charges, get the Man 2 dropped and the DA won't have to try the case and put his won/loss record in jeopardy. You've been gamed.

Grand Juries are nothing but rubber stamps here, and we have to deal with people that are overcharged and are forced to plea to a shittier deal because of what is at stake.

I don't know about Ohio, but trafficking charges are related to the amount possessed at the time of arrest in NC. Maybe they found him with a shitload more than what was needed for them to get high.
