The one guy that SHOULD not have declared for the pros last year that would make a huge difference in this year's squad is Dakari Johnson. Would give a big man force inside to this weak 'Bruce Jenner' team

Why did you emphasize "should" in that sentence?

BTW Cletus, I went to New York over the holidays and (amongst other good spots) we ate at Nobu. Not my first time there, but as enjoyable as ever...

I like it. I don't do sushi often, though.

(and if I'm ever in Willacoochie, North Carolina I'm not letting you know, either! Actually, I'm just joking...I don't want the pressure of having to entertain you for a few hours when you can happily fend for yourself)

"(and if I'm ever in Willacoochie, North Carolina I'm not letting you know, either! Actually, I'm just joking...I don't want the pressure of having to entertain you for a few hours when you can happily fend for yourself)"

This trip was on very short notice, I booked my flight on Wednesday, came up Thursday and left Sunday. Was actually thinking we were going to spend new year's in Rheinbeck (sp?) with some friends of my friend, but we decided to stay in the city...

On another note, I like how they do things in NYC. My buddy called his weed guy and in short order a friendly courier arrived and opened his box of wares. He had a great variety of edibles and an assortment of disposable vapor cigs to go along with the expected varieties of actual old fashioned weed. Very clean way to do business, I think. Of course, I was kinda sweating it a little in the airport (of course I brought some back), but I got thru without a hitch (for once). The MIF's youngest daughter was delighted at the haul of chocolates, gummy bears, peppermint patties, etc...

much less chance in luggage I imagine

I only had a carry on, so I thought it would look more suspicious if I checked it. But of course I thought about it, for the reason you cite...

I have no idea how they classify milligrams of THC in terms of punishment, but I was figuring that the amount I had was less than a quarter ounce of straight weed, b/c what I paid for all the stuff I had was a little more than twice what my buddy paid for an 1/8 of weed (which was expensive, but I figured hey, it's New York and plus you get the handy courier to bring it to your door and even try samples) and we also ate some of it up there, so I wasn't too worried even if they had stopped me...

here the issue is the Colorado

I always figured once I quit being federal I would go back to old habits--and now th middle son lives in boulder I am going back in forth down I 70 once a year

be mighty tempting to load up the car.

the threat is obviously nothing--they can search only with cause--and they like to put signs up subject to dog search etc right their by goodland Kansas to scare people into doing something stupid

but transporting from Colorado to Kansas I always thought carried a much higher chance of bad charges rather then a customary possession misdeamenor.
even though I know they couldn't/wuldnt search my car as long as I don't let them and they see nothing suspicious on any routine stops

i'll worry about it in 10 years ...or sooner if federal jobs would quit piss testing

I imagine aviation laws would be similar to transporting across state lines

Everybody needs to have a 420 guy. Even people who don't partake. I have "Cousin Jessy" (a stereotypical, hip hop loving Asian kid) and I don't even smoke.

This guy was asian as well. Very knowledgeable. Splendid behavior. As for crossing state lines, like I said, I figured it was such a minimal amount it could only be seen as simple possession. I was more worried about going thru LaGuardia than landing in Raleigh, but either way, I can't imagine it would've been anything more than a ticket. Plus I had bought a big bag of other assorted candies (there are tons of candy stores in Manhattan, interestingly enough) and put it all in the candy store bag. I probably should've just bought several of the disposable vapor cigs, but I was enamored of the edibles...
