UM is under the NCAA microscope these days, so they can't do the crazy stuff they used to do. Without the hookers, limousines, white powder on mirrors, AK-47's, cigarette boats, etc. the Canes aren't as attractive to young athletes as they used to be. That is having its effect on their recruiting and overall success.

Same thing happened to Nebraska when the NCAA cracked down on the 'roids.

Some talking head gave his three biggest busts recruiting-wise for the 2015 class as 3) Miami, 2) Oregon, and 1) Michigan. He said pretty much the same - too big a cloud for too long over the program leading to antiseptic recruiting, and people are looking sideways at Golden.

It's hard to judge Michigan - I doubt Brady Hoke was doing much recruiting, knowing he was a dead man walking, and Harbaugh likely didn't have much of a network from several years ago while at a school that doesn't recruit well anyway. He'll need a top 20 type of class next year or he might be in some trouble (not job security, just on-field performance), as anOSU and Penn State recruit the north very well already.

Oregon has feasted on USCw and UCLA being down for several years, now that they are back, you'll see UO dropping back significantly.

Much as I hate to defend anything Michigan, I agree. I think they deserve a 'pass' for this year at least.

In the end they only have stars next to their name. What they do next will write the story.

True. The poor performance of Gene Chizik's 4 and 5 star recruits is a cautionary tale.

Interesting article about former OC Tony Franklin:

Like AA once said, "That Spread Eagle offense is a helluva thing."

I thought this 2013 level of Alabama fan lunacy would go unrivaled for awhile:

It may have been surpassed:

Two drunken fans after one blocks the other from leaving, and they fight. And you want to make hay with it?

Idiotic.

You must not have been to too many football games. Drunken fans fight. Worst fight I've seen was at Jordan-Hare between a drunk Tiger and a drunk Tide fan. Yes, the Bama guy got his ass kicked. He just didn't fall into traffic when he went down, you ridiculous moron.

Yeah, kinda odd to rate somebody getting shot as being surpassed by a simple brawl, even if the latter ended (accidentally) tragically

Also, it appears the incident you cite as surpassing the other one occurred prior to it, so I don't see how it could be called "surpassing" something that happened afterwards...

Very Freudian that you immediately think of my bowels.

Tell me about the relationship you have with your mother. Also, expand on any feelings of inadequacy and how you never really felt like "one of the regular guys."

Go ahead, I'm listening. No judgement here. You're among friends.

All my life, I always knew that I was Bo Jackson. I have finally decided to let my "greatest athlete of all time" come out. From now on, you must address me as Bo Jackson. And celebrate my courage.
