I wouldn't say I'm "outraged", but in light of this admins other economic ramblings, it's well, strange, and mistimed.

DSL, who is more popular at Cornell: Andy Bernard or alumna Ann Coulter? Inquiring minds want to know.

A good article by Will. Obviously Libya doesn't meet the standard of somebody-we=need=to-go=to=war=with.
Odd that he drew a comparison of Libya to Vietnam (they didn't attack us, they didn't impose an immediate threat to us, etc) while choosing to ignore a much more recent unneccesary war altogether. Didn't even mention the name of that one in his entire article.

Re: Puterbac News Network and Political Discussion Thread
President Obama hit the Big Apple last night hoping to score a fund-raising hat trick for his re-election campaign -- but he faced lackluster donors tired of being taken for granted and some pointed no-shows by prominent Wall Streeters.
"The Democratic business-donor community is demoralized," a Democratic fund-raiser told The Post before the three cash-currying events Obama was attending in Manhattan over a three-hour span. "There's not the level of enthusiasm or excitement. They don't believe he's interested in what they have to say."
I also saw where NYT elites (Brooks, Friedman) were dissing The One on Charlie Rose's show.

Re: Puterbac News Network and Political Discussion Thread
I saw the interview of Friedman where he expressed a shocking reserve instead of the usual robotic gushing over Obama. The same thing is even starting to pop up on MSNBC. The liberals are disappointed in Obama because he hasn't done many of the things they expected - e.g. implement single payer health care, get us completely out of Iraq and Afghanistan, close Gitmo, arrest and execute Bush and Cheney, etc. But despite their disappointment, liberals are EXTREMELY reluctant express their disappointment in public (sort of like conservatives were with W in 2008).
But Obama doesn't have a thing to worry about. In the end, Hollywood will write the big checks, and nearly all liberals will vote for Obama again. After all, to do otherwise would be racist.

I'm not happy with Obama policies across the board. There has never been a president with whom I was 100% satisfied. But I'm more satisfied than dissatisfied with Obama. I will definitely vote for him again. That's mainly because I like him but also because I don't see even one Republican possibility I could support.

The endangered species Republican w/balls, made a rare appearance yesterday....
"The president and his party may want a debt limit increase that includes tax hikes, but such a proposal cannot pass the House," Boehner said. "The president and his party may want a debt limit increase without spending cuts that exceed the amount of the debt limit hike, but such a proposal cannot pass the House. ...These are the realities of the situation.

Your post reminded me of this article, falsely attributed to conservative columnist, but still worth reading:Dora wrote:I'm not happy with Obama policies across the board. Can President Obama be defeated in 2012? No. He can’t. I am going on record as saying that President Barak Obama will win a second term.

Dora, your post reminded me of my favorite line from the article:
2) College educated women will vote for Obama. Though they will be offended by this, they swoon at his oratory. It’s really not more complex than that,
