It's baffling to me that Goldie isn't a head coach at a major college.

That game last night reminded me of the ACC/B10 challenge game in Chapel Hill in 2007 (which I attended) when we knocked off #1 Ohio State 98-89...

well - you guys were #1 in the country with a healthy Paige.

Not sure who is really #1 at this point, but I'm pretty sure Maryland is easily top 5, and after last night, I'm pretty sure we are too. I doubt we'll hit that many 3's again this year, but we needed them last night b/c Maryland was playing at a pretty high level (except for the TO's). Both teams shot better than 50% from the field and we were 9-13 from behind the arc. I don't remember us doing anything close to that since 2009. I know we can't count on anything like that on any consistent basis, but it is encouraging that our outside shooting, which has been our Achilles heel for the past several years, has improved pretty dramatically...

It would be encouraging if someone would take you outside and shoot you.

I actually tuned in about 30 seconds before that dunk. That was a good 'un. We've got UCLA in two weeks in NYC, I'm thinking that's going to have more of a home game feel for us. And on the bright side, the african kids will get their "2016 UK Wildcats: 40-0!!!" t-shirts in time for Christmas this year...

I'm not surprised we lost - The #1 team coming in to your house on their first big road game after you had an embarrassing loss to them the year before? Down Lee and Ulis at 75%, that left Briscoe as the only guy who had an attack attitude on the floor.

And all of BBN learned yesterday that Skal La-boss-e-eh? has a long damn ways to go before anyone should ever mention his name again in the same sentence with Anthony Davis or Karl Towns or even Uwe Blob.

I'm not even upset over it, just a little surprised that we played UCLA in the United Center and then on their home court the following year though

We wouldn't do that for Indiana - but then again, we like being dicks to Indiana.

IMO, this soft squad will get thumped at least 6 times this season. Skal definitely could use another season or two in college.

eh..they're young kids - I'm not going to hold them to any crazy standard 6 or 7 games into a season.

They beat Duke on a neutral floor. That's enough for now.

eCat -- The UK-UCLA game last year was a part of that annual four team trade-off event with those two teams, plus Michigan St. and dook. UCLA is coming to Rupp next year, so this is part of a new home and home series. I assume the bruins replaced Carolina on Kentucky's schedule.

I was at the game back in the '80s when Ewe Blop and the hoosiers got a beatdown from UK at Rupp.

Was that the 1880's or the 1980's?

You funny......... If I'm not mistaken, that was the last time UI played Kentucky in Rupp.

Was that before Kentucky achieved statehood or after?
