I tried to watch it.

It was a sloppy mess and as much as I love John Pelphrey, I couldn't listen to him

I watched the first half then turned to the WS... Rather sloppy but then again, they weren't going full speed... just a scrimmage. Much rather see Ulus, Murray and Briscoe than those twins.. Matthews was a surprise.. athletic and skilled. Should be a major contributor... along with Willis.

I didn't see #1 draft pick in what Skal showed last night

but I didn't pay much attention to the second half. it was mostly background noise to me.

I liked what I saw of the Australian kid ( I thought he was New Zealand but whatever). Kind of a softer Jorts with a better shot.

here is what KSR said about Skal - clearly I saw it differently

Labissiere had game-highs with 18 points and 11 rebounds. More importantly, he showed early signs of why he is projected as the future No. 1 pick.

Agree.... Skal didn't show me much. Has a good turn around 10 ft jumper though. Needs to be more physical around the rim on offense and be more aggressive on defense.. but he's so skinny.... needs to put on 25 or 30 lbs. Could be a top pick by the end of the year but he'll have to make major improvements for that to happen IMO. The big Aussie would be the perfect center in Joe B's system though.. reminded me a bit of Mike Phillips. Doesn't seem to fit Cal's run and gun dribble drive or whatever it is he runs.

it doesn't pay you to take a day off during the week when you live in a small town.

The only people that are out at 10:30am are old people or retards and inevitably you're going to be stuck behind them no matter what you do.

I just spent 40 minutes trying to mail a package at office depot behind a 70 year old woman who I don't even have the desire to tell the story I'm so pissed off. I said trying, I ended up leaving when I saw her typing fucking war and peace in the message section of gmail on the computer i needed to use to print labels.

Then I go to CVS to pick up a prescription and some old man there with a torn off ear is yelling at the chick behind the counter because the doctor would give him the prescription he wanted and plus I think she was the only human contact he's had all day. As I was leaving he was complaining to a girl stocking halloween candy that no one should have to pay $4.99 for a bag of whatever the fuck he was holding.

So now I'm trying to go back to office depot and I get behind some old fucker in a kia doing his best George Burns impression. He's topping at out 15mph and after about a mile, he pulls over and gives me the wave around while staring me down shaking his cohiba knockoff at me.

By now I figure I've spent so much time being delayed they've probably hired another person and trained her to work the shipping desk at office depot but no, "Kouree" was still working behind the counter. She apologized when I showed up - I guess my "well gaaaawwwdammm" I muttered under my breath when Maybelle opened up google caught her attention so she remembered me. Making eye contact was bad enough, engaging me in the mood I was in was a mistake. It wasn't her fault - the system they have is moronic. 1 computer where you force the customers to do the data entry part of the shipping label but we still have to wait for you to check us out when you are done. At least at the post office, they have a machine that weighs it, sells me insurance and prints a shipping label letting me charge it to my credit card. its pretty bad when the damn post office is more efficient than your retail store. But when the brownie eating kid working the register went left to hide in the back instead of walking over 20 feet to help out and the Asian kid selling laptops told me he couldn't leave his department I was pretty fed up with the whole group of 'em.

I wish they were all on my lawn so I could yell at 'em.

I'm really getting at a point where I despise anyone that wastes my time.

I have better things to do like type this shit. I guess I did have the desire to tell the story afterall.

I always run my errands around 10:30. Traffic is better but I get what you're saying. I'd rather deal with old people though then trying to do them morning rush hour. Plus, you get to see the future you.

They are out every day keeping insurance companies in business. And your town is no longer small.

UNC beat some sacrificial lamb last night 99-49 without Paige (who is out for at least a month with a broken finger on his non-shooting hand) and Justin Jackson who evidently wasn't feeling well. Pretty encouraging that we could run up that kind of score, even against a dog, without our two best scorers...
