The more I think about this, the more convinced I am that there was never (nor will there ever be) a "stable" environment in the Middle East. The true nature of Islam means that as long as there are those who are NOT Islamic, that there will never be stability. I can't remember any time where the Middle East was stable.

If suddenly, Israel and America were to disappear tomorrow, the Arabs and the Iranians would just start beheading each other. With no Christians or Jews to slaughter, they would just go back to Sunnis slaughtering Shiites and vice versa. They never really stopped.

But they would still blame America, Israel, Christians and Jews for all their problems.

Funny. I don't remember the R's filibustering Sotomayor or Kagan or any recent Dem nominees. The R's always acted like grow ups when it came to SCOTUS nominees.The Dem's used to Bork nominees, or administer high-tech lynchings, but they never filibustered.

The Dem's have demonstrated there will never be another Republican nominee that they can accept, unless that nominee performs a partial birth abortion in the well of the Senate.
