Guy takes his wife to the doctor, after the examination, the doctor comes out and tells him "well, we've narrowed it down to two things: She's either got alzheimer's or she's got the AIDS, but we don't know for sure." The guy says "that's awful, what should I do?", the doctor says "here's what I want you to do. Take her home, and when you get about 2 blocks from your house, let her out of the car. If she finds her way home, do NOT fuck her!"

You vehemently criticize females for being selfish (etc), yet you praise Ayn Rand for advocating the exact same thing. And don't try to say that women's selfishness is not good because it is destroying society, b/c you also love the idea in Atlas Shrugged that all the rich people just decide to leave and don't give a fuck about the rest of society. Could you be any more confused?

Ann Coulter and Ayn Rand appear to be the only two women in the world who are capable of understanding cause and effect, and therefore should be allowed to vote.

Correction: Little people don't pay any income taxes.

Leona was in trouble with the IRS, not state and local taxing authorities.

About Leona? - Nah, she got what she deserved.

About little people not paying taxes? - only when they whine that the rich don't pay their fair share.

The rich pay taxes, but often no more than 15% (like Mitt Romney). Their secretaries and butlers pay higher rates than they do.

A lot of big profitable corporations, such as GE and Merck, don't pay federal income taxes at all.

Romney has $250 million or so. Interest rates are so low, I would be surprised if he can even get $3 or $4 million of annual income off that nest egg. Say $3 million income. At 15% Romney (personally) pays $450,000 a year in Federal Income taxes.

Romney hire someone at pays them $50K a year. After their adjustments and deductions they wind up at about 21% Federal income tax (a rate HIGHER than mult-millionaire Romney) but they pay just over $10,000 a year in Federal Income taxes.

$450,000 vs $10,000? What is fair and what is not fair tiger? Forget it, I forgot you don't answer questions.

Romney paid 14.1% of his income in federal taxes in 2011.

The income bracket which pays 15% income taxes is:

Tax rate: 15%
Single filers:
$8,926 to $36,250

Married filing jointly or qualifying widow/widower: $17,851 to $72,500

IB, I have answered your questions, you just didn't like my answers.

But if I don't answer your questions, it's because I don't value your opinions. I read your posts purely for their comedic value.

You are not comparing the same thing. Romney's true tax rate is not 14.1%. It's really more like 17-18%. The 14% "effective" rate they mention divides the tax by his income before his deductions, which doesn't make sense because the tax is based on income after deductions which Romney has about $4 million in charitable contributions. If you divide the tax by the Income before deductions of people in the 15% tax bracket their effective rate would be about 3%.

See the first chart on this study. To get to Mitt's effective tax rate, his butler and secretary would have to make $167.000. Maybe he pays them that, I don't know.

Well, considering there are thousands of times (minimum) more people in the latter category, they end up paying more (proportionally). Whether that's "fair" or not, I don't know...
