JR Smith's numbers in the Finals: fg's 24-77 (.312), 3 pt. fg's 15-51 (numerical palindrome! - .294), ft's 6-10, 26 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 turnovers. Whatever he's getting paid, it's too much...

I'm not sure but with Love and Irving on the team, I doubt they expected Smith to have to take on a leading scoring role on the team

not that I'm a defender of him - I don't know anything about him or his situation on the team.

Yeah, Smith is a 20 minute guy, not a 36 minute guy. All their low level guys were being asked to do too much.

Steph Curry's sister has to be pissed. She's putting on her best clothes, game after game and Grandma Curry is getting all the shine and pub.

The Blackhawks have been on a helluva run but Tampa Bay is going to be a monster for years to come, too.

J.R. Smith didn't bother with whatever David Blatt had to say at halftime

Just like we don't bother with what you have to say.

"Yeah, Smith is a 20 minute guy, not a 36 minute guy. All their low level guys were being asked to do too much."

He should be a 20 minute guy, but the last several years he's been a 30 minute guy. It's not like he's Dellavedova or some schmuck who's hardly ever played much and is now asked to do something amazing. Plus, as a seasoned veteran, this was a great opportunity for him to step up and play big, but he folded. Whatever, I'm probably just still holding a grudge b/c he didn't come to Carolina, even though we won the NC that year without him. Hell, I should probably be grateful he didn't come, he probably would've found some way to fuck that up, too...

Smith AND McCants on the same team in the same position? Good God. That would have been beyond dysfunctional.

Well, we know Duke only has 3 (Jeff Mullins, Danny Ferry and Shane Battier). That's why Okafor will be a bust.

Brutally honest assessment of the upcoming NBA draft class. I like this one:

"Myles Turner, 6’11” forward, Texas: “He might be a lottery pick, but I think he’s overrated. He doesn’t have much lower body strength and doesn’t have great mobility. There’s something in his biomechanics that’s not quite right. He’s over 80% from the free throw line, which tells me he has upside as a shooter. When we interviewed him, we asked him about coming off the bench at Texas. He could have said it was because of that dumbass Barnes and that’s why he got fired, but instead he said, ‘I wasn’t good enough.’ That impressed me.”

Christian Wood, 6’11” forward, UNLV: “When you’re that skinny and have 15% body fat, it just tells me that you don’t work. His shot’s not broken but I think he takes too many. He’s tall, he’s long. He checks a lot of boxes. He might have as much upside as anyone in this draft. He’s immature, but he’s not a bad kid. He probably sits around and watches cartoons.”

Robert Upshaw, 7-foot center, Washington: “We wouldn’t touch him. He has so many issues. Now he has a heart issue. He has an NBA skill with his shot blocking, but he’s not worth it. Physically, he’s talented. The problem is, if you crack his head open, nobody has any idea what might roll out of there.”

is he the guy that was poking players in the eye?
