This isn't music - this is a cat wailing in the background while Kanye tries to rhyme songs by pronouncing them wrong and has lyrics like "I wanna fuck you on the sink"

good lord this is awful. Why am I posting it? - because Kardashian kinda shows her titties in it.

HA! e's commentary and link is almost EXACTLY like a text I got (with link) the other night from a buddy. He just typed "THIS IS TRASH. WTF is Kanye doing? Fuck you on a sink? Bring you a drink? TRASH!" I responded, "yeah, youre right. Ye went half ass the whole album, lyrically. I like the album though. I love the vid too because I love Kim's titties."

Seriously, though, the Yeezus album is very minimalistic and raw, but also very good. I dig it. As a matter of fact, my boy did a boxing match for charity last week and I had him enter the ring with Kanye's "Black Skinhead" track. He had never heard it, but wound up using it because he blindly trusted my counsel (I have no idea why he does it). There were 16, 3 Round fights that night and after the final fight the DJ replayed my boy's intro music all the way through. There are some good songs on that album. Bound2 is not one of them, but it fits well on the album, personally.

ok, I'm gonna find it and listen to it right now.

btw, I'm about to declare jihad on iTunes. I can't even describe the level of frustration I have I'm so mad at them right now.

I bought a book on itunes for Windows but it only lets you view iBooks on an iOS device. This is after 20 minutes of entering information, credit cards, agreeing to shit, updating shit, changing passwords...etc. I essentially wasted an hour only to realize I can read the book on an iPod touch which is like mowing a yard with hedge clippers.

oh and Black Skinhead is pretty good. I can see why that is a huge hit as a fight intro. Especially the "you ni....ers ain't ready for action" line.

Gary Glitter says Kanye West ain't shit though.

Heh, Gary Glitter and then Marilyn Manson.

I can't tell if he sampled it or just replayed it.

(my boy, who is a Jewish Romanian equity portfolio manager was like "you think I can pull that off...entering the ring on that song?" I was like "yeah, trust me." He won a unanimous decision, btw...against some trader from Goldman. Weekend Warriors living out their hero fantasies between drinks at Lavo or chilling at The Standard)

I don't know - maybe I'm just simple but to say he is referencing Marlon Brando from On the Waterfront and thinking that is creative, intellectual and real music craft while I'm thinking Kanye has no idea who Marlon Brando is much less a famous quote from On the Waterfront and if he did, big whoop, its one of the most famous lines you can google -would show the chasm between Lou Reed and I regarding Kanye West's album. I do think West has talent, but lets not make him into Bob Dylan.

note: first time I've ever used the word chasm here on the goat pen.

Not saying that quoting a line from On the Waterfront is some hugely creative act in itself, but I have to think that Kanye didn't have to google it or be told about it. Anyone not aware of Brando in general or that line (and the movie itself) in particular is either a teenager or a cultural moron. And there are plenty of those out there (like most of the people I work with), but Kanye West isn't one of them...

A quick search reveals that it's the first time anybody has used the word chasm in here...
