Well, two things I have learned today:

1. It's gonna be a LONG, slow, and painful rebuilding process at Tennessee. I've reached the stage where I can watch us stink up a field and just really let it wash over me w/o feeling one way or the other about it.

2. Per ESPN (I watched a decent portion of the 2nd half of the NU-PSU game and a lot of the post-game) the REAL victims in the PSU fiasco aren't the young men who were assaulted, but rather Joe Paterno and the PSU football program. We should all pray that these horrible acts don't impact this man and program any further. Oh, and I guess we kinda hope the men who were assaulted are OK, too...I guess, sorta..I mean, just so long as we remember who the REAL victims are and how much CLASS and COURAGE they showed today.

We're showing signs of life today..but I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop.

It will be awhile before I can watch a game with the swagger I used to....

I think this was the first non-Texas game I have ever pulled for Nebraska.

10ac,

Me too. And I felt guilty about it. After all the pain and adversity PSU and Joe Paterno have endured this week at the hands of the press and an overly zealous group of complaining victims......I felt guilty. After all, we must remember how much CLASS and POISE Paterno and the PSU football program showed today.

Though, in fairness, I am positive that if those alleged events happened at an SEC school, ESPN would be just as quick to circle the wagons.....

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

OF,

I remember that every play. I doubt anyone forgets it!

Sure, we can't run the ball, our top WR and starting QB are out for the season, our DL is undersized and needs serious time in the weightroom, and our DBs show all the speed of a mid level 1AA program....but other than that....

At this point, as a Tennessee fan, you just have to watch the game (if you can) and just let it flow over you w/o really feeling one way or another about it. Though, at 35-7, with 20 minutes of football left, I may do what I think ESPN will do at any moment and switch to something else.

::: But, it's too late, cold, and rainy for a long walk, so I have THAT going for me! :::
