This is best news of the year this kid is as bad a s player as Bobby Frasor,
I am so glad he is gone, opens more time for Pinson, Jackson and Berry.

Kentucky plays Dook in November.
Virginia, UNC and Duke will all be up there next year
Until UVA proves they are anything other than Michigan State Lite I'm not convinced their style of play is capable of winning a title.

that may be true - certainly it goes both ways. But I can't remember a year where fans have complained about the refs more than this year.
That may be true, about fans complaining more but it seems like that is the case every year. Part of that may have to do with advanced technology such as tight camera angles and HDTV that brings the game closer to the fans at home than ever before. Basketball moves at a rapid pace and it's hard to get every call right and with replays giving fans a chance to see what really happened, it seems that officiating is getting worse when that might not be the case.
I do think that some refs, in any sport, let their position go to their heads and they abuse it. Maybe that's the case with the guy T-ing up Cal. Certainly Karl Hess was guilty of that. You just can't allow personal feelings into it. The best refs, in any sport, are the ones who let the players play and the coaches coach.

Strangely enough, I agree with you. Tokoto leaving could be addition by subtraction, esp. if it opens up a spot for Ingram to become a Tar Heel.

Has Cal found someone to take the ACT for Skal yet? He's not close to an 18 yet, last I heard...

and ATM may be right, but I'm not sure you can explain away some anomalies, for example, UK fans are all too aware that one ref, Dough Shows I believe, has called multiple technical fouls on Calipari and has ref'd in 6 losses out of 10 - so for a coach that seldom gets a technical and has a winning percentage of around 74%, that's quite a bit of coincidence going on there.
Valentine was Bobby's nemesis. Fuck that fucker. That 1992 Duke team wouldn't be considered an all time great if it wasn't for that fat fuck. He fouled out our 4 best players (Henderson, Graham, Bailey, and Cheaney) and IU had a total of 33 Personal Fouls called on them compared to 18 via Duke. That asshole towards the end of the first half dropped 4 quick fouls on Baily and Cheaney (I believe) and then did the same thing at the early set of the 2nd half so they were limited most of the game.
And they only beat IU by 3.

Don't you know? They have a psychologist on staff ( he has a PO Box they mail shit to) where said psych doctor evaluates the kid and determines that he has a learning disability and therefore I believe gets a waiver / exception for his player(s).
All totally legal apparently.

That's not a bad idea, eCat. Essentially, it would be bit like a 528 site for refs. The analysis could certainly generate traffic...and it could lead to heavy bettors (or bookmakers) to use it as a resource for slight edge/line setting. I like it.

I actually really like planning stuff like this out - the logistics of making it happen would be fun for me.
The day to day operations - not so much

Is it too late for me to join the March Madness contest? I have a feeling that Duke will make a run.

its not really fair given their star player was never 100% for the final push of the season. Before that happened they were killing it.

Kentucky would have destroyed UVA, a healthy Anderson or not, just like they would have destroyed Duke. UK lost to the only team that was able to beat it at this point of the season and Wiscy couldn't capitalize, probably because its coach is the Most Aggrieved Man in America.

Logan bet on UVa vs. Syracuse earlier this year, so we watched the game. They were down like 15 in the first half and it looked like there was no way they'd cover (I think the line was something like 12). But UVa didn't appear to get flustered at all (causing Logan to repeatedly curse them for indifference). You know the rest, UVa methodically got back into the game and ended up covering, and I think this was after their main guy had gone down. Pretty impressive performance. Of course, they lost to us in the ACC tourny, so I guess they couldn't have been that great...

Just think how bad UK fans would feel if they had gone to the title game and gotten the same results as Whiskey. Esp. if the pesky little whitey dwarf ghost of Christian Laettner had played the same role...
