Trump's stirring up all this shit so, like I said, this is what "blowing it up" looks like.
I guess Kaine, Pelosi, Feinstein, Schumer et al are voices of reason.

No doubt Pelosi is unhinged since she wants a probe into Trump's Putin-love, right?

Calling the presidents Chief of Strategist a white supremacist

I'm sure you support that.

She's feeding the chaos. Its irresponsible to put that label on the Trump administration and in turn fire up the anti Trump crowd to believe the ends justifies the means in their actions.

I wasn't aware that Pelosi made the comment actually. And it may not be a fair charge - it'd be like holding Ben Bradlee responsible for every opinion piece found in the WaPo. Breitbart aside, there's not much in Bannon's musings that you could point to and say white supremacist.

Thing is, it's the current occupant of the WH who's notorious for his wild accusations and rancorous statements against those he's at odds with - you can fill a phonebook right? But there's one person Trump won't badmouth, even when his pals try to drag it out of him. Any reasonable person knows this Putin business has a bad smell.

defending your liberal views is now a conservative position

I don't know who this Rubin is or what the Rubin Report is as part of the Young Turks

however this video is great. It pretty much sums up just how off course the liberal agenda is and the flyover states people are fed up.

The term "liberal" was always mostly misleading especially being adopted as an epithet by the right, especially since many concepts of liberalism are actually adopted by conservatives. The opposite of a conservative in today's world is a progressive not a liberal. Progressives are not necessarily liberals, don't necessarily believe in freedom, equality, or fairness. For example, a liberal position on something like race would involve merely eliminating unfairness and inequity, but may not necessarily become an immediate "equal result" due to other factors. The progressive position, basically is to initiate policies that force the desired equal result, regardless of whether the process was fair.

A liberal would promote freedom of speech, etc, whereas freedom of speech is not really necessary to progressive thought, simply believing that everybody ought to think the "correct" way and other viewpoints should be shut down is not antithetical to a progressive worldview, although it absolutely is to a liberal one.

I consider myself a liberal. Libertarian I guess is what I have to say, since Im about as far from a fucking progressive as you can possibly be, but if I told somebody upon meeting them that I was a "liberal" the image they would get of my politics is of a left wing progressive.

If Obama can be accused of fanning the flames of racism in this country, Bannon can be called a white supremacist.

This guy "almost" gets there, but he believes his personal vision of progressivism as being synonymous with liberalism as the key cog in his argument and so he wants to define the bad elements that arent liberal as "regressive" when in reality liberal and progressive arent synonymous at all, and have merely lined up nicely ideologically at times.

if we're going to start throwing around generalizations do we get to say that 92% of the African Americans that voted for Obama only voted for him because he was black?

Oprama gave a DVD set as a gift to the Brit monarchy and people erupted. Same when he made a half bow to another head of state.

Now comes Trump ...pinned down by OReily about Putin being a killer - clearly equivocates that the U.S. is the same as Putin. Republicans are apoplectic about his comments in private; publicly, they say The Donald misspoke or they offered some bland rebuke along the lines of "America isn't like Putin". Pence says it's his bosses' way of bringing the russkies into the fight against ISIS (?!). Naturally all the dems have their hair on fire (if there's any left to burn), and the rest of the planet is left to wonder if Trump and Putin are working on some world-domination strategy. Assuming Trump isn't being blackmailed and the strategy is all one-sided.

Anywho. That DVD set seems pretty quaint now.

Here's the plan: Trump thinks and probably has a good reason to believe that if he cozies up to Putin, he can enact the foreign policy goals he truly wants, which is to rid the Middle East of Islamic extremism. Not unlike a WWE pairing, Trump and Putin will form an alliance and a New World Order. Turn the ME into a series of puppet regimes (see, Syria) and slowly exterminate all the Islamic extremists and force Iran to knuckle under.

The side benefit is that China won't be inclined to challenge the new US/Russia bloc.

The fly in the ointment is that neither Trump nor Putin are exactly honorable individuals and the long-term cost for such a plan could be catastrophic for everyone.

Trumpsters are weirdly silent about their hero's latest round of Putin comments. Apparently you can't stand up with Lee Greenwood and sing "God Bless the USAAAAaaaaa" and hold to the notion that we're murderers similar to what Trump alluded to.

I don't know what he said but I can do that...easily

I suspect the words collateral damage were introduced to the war lexicon by America
