"Thanks to her, I made the right (and the only acceptable) decision. I never regretted it for a minute."

The same can't be said for whatever sect you decided to thrown your hat in with...

Wow. The Catholic Church has got a YUUUUUUGE problem, from top to bottom, and they seem either unable or unwilling to fix it themselves. This is exactly the kind of situation that led to the Reformation.

That, and incorrect doctrine.

Selling indulgences was definitely incorrect doctrine. Luther was right about that, as well as general clerical immorality and extravagant papal claims.

This one goes out to John McCain. One of my favorite hymns, and appropriate for a great naval war hero.

I wish they would've added a guillotine to your Sunday services...

Just think if Jesus had been killed with a guillotine, that would've been the christian symbol instead of a cross. Everybody would be wearing guillotines around their necks and there would be big guillotines in every church. I guess catholics would've included a little Jesus figurine, like they have Jesus actually on the cross on their necklaces. I guess the question would be do you have a little basket with Jesus's head in it after the guillotine has swapt it off or would his neck be on the block with the guillotine halfway down? Fun questions to think about, huh? No telling how many wars and how many million of people would've died over the dispute on how best to represent the murder of Jesus on catholic iconography. They've murdered millions for far less than that. Good times!

Made me chuckle. I had an 11th grade teacher discuss this exact topic supposing that he had been killed by the electric chair. Would christian's be wearing a chair around their necks?

If Jesus had been killed by a guillotine, would he have been headless when he rose from the dead? That might cause some problems with the iconography. On the one hand, it would be awkward to depict headless Jesus b/c your natural inclination is that, being headless, he can't see (or hear, or fellate, etc.), and plus it's just not cool to be headless. But on the other hand, it would enhance the fact of his magical powers, so it might be even cooler. No head? No problem! Not for Jesus, anyway. See what I'm saying? What are ya'lls thoughts?

My thoughts are: posting under the influence of a cocktail of LSD, crack, heroin, and a cocktail, is not a pretty sight.

Actually, the book is not a theological book, right? And it is not for all of us to discuss its plot.

Sad to see Notre Dame burning to the ground. The cornerstone was laid in 1163 AD. What those stones have seen; Crusaders, the Hundred Years War, the Seven Years War, French Revolution, WWI, German occupation of WWII...

Now all gone. Sad.
