Probably got his name wrong, but the Suns/Lakers coach.

Bottom line there isn't a coach I think can replace Calipari
You're right. You'll never have it as good as you have it right now and for the foreseeable future.

At any rate, welcome to my world for the past 7 or 8 years. The MIF showed me a picture of a bikini bottom that she just ordered for one of the young 'uns. I was like, why pay $50 for something that doesn't even cover your ass crack and barely covers the front? She might as well just go naked. Jesus...

I can't see how UK fans could be pissed at Cal if he decides to go to the NBA. They are fine with their school being a one year stopover for kids whose only goal is to get the the NBA (while of course wanting to win for the one year they're parked in Lexington, but still, that's not the real reason they are there), I can't see how they could fault Cal for doing the same thing....

I'm still at a loss as to how my children have these crazy morals. God knows I didn't push it on them.

We made the decision to put my daughter on birth control this summer to help with her acne. Its under control now but you probably remember my rant that it is costing me $1200 a year. Its worth it - just for the self esteem she needs as a young teen and I don't want her physically scarred, but the doctor said that she shouldn't be taking an anti biotic long term and suggested birth control to help regulate her (plus, I love my daughter but she goes full blown pain in the ass when her period hits which just started like 7 months ago) And yes, I've had to run to the local CVS to buy pads at 8pm for her.

At a recent birthday party for one of her friends a boy sent the birthday girl a dick pic on snapchat which luckily enough I have the kind of relationship with my kids they tell me this sort of thing, so as we were walking out of the doctor's office I said," just wait until these boys find out you're on birth control, its gonna be dick pic city for you " and you would have thought I called her a whore by her reaction. I had to tell her I didn't mean anything by it and I didn't think she was the kind of kid to encourage getting dick pics.

So then yesterday I'm in the car with my son and we're having a discussion and he is talking about how many girls are whores in his class - the kid is a bit too pious for me and I'm trying to rid him of that virtue, so I tell him how, you know - he's going to have to accept that its perfectly normal for 16 year olds to be having sex - so he goes on this rant about how he doesn't want to hear about it because it ruins it for him if he finds out another guy has fucked a girl he likes (fucked is my word - we aren't that casual as father/son yet) - then he proceeds to tell me how this one guy tried to have anal sex with a girl he likes and she ended up shitting on the kid , and he thinks it great because he doesn't like that boy.

That was completely unexpected so I just kind of drove for a minute trying to process what he just said to me and all I could do was "lets go get a sub sandwich".

That was the goto move for my dad when things got uncomfortable - "lets go get a hamburger". The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

I have to admit, I'm ok with my 16 year old son knowing about anal sex (I can't say for sure but I'm not sure it ever crossed my mind at that age) but for kids to be practicing it at that age throws me off a bit. I mean..pussy should still be new and exciting for them...anal sex is like a married for 4 years kinda thing that you get on your birthday and New Years eve.

What's the next level for kids who are doing anal sex at 16?

I won't be mad - hell its almost exactly what Pitino did

Who gets mad are the people at Catspause when you tell them that can't put any stock into what Cal says about staying or leaving. Memphis taught me that but they are slow learners. UK is the greatest, no one would leave it, blah, blah , blah.

btw, I hope every team does this before the game

Maybe so, but remember that's the exact same response 99% of the posters on Rivals had when Calipari's name came up to replace Tubby and even Gillispie. Now these same posters are Cal lovers. Noboby gets more out of average players than Pearl...and just imagine what he could do with the talent that Kentucky normally gets. Plus, the personality is a perfect fit for UK. He may never get the job, but it would be the perfect hire IMO.

... and remember also, Calipari would have never been the UK coach if not for Mike Pratt. Barnhart never wanted Cal and from what I understand, they still aren't that close of friends or even friends at all.

I like Pearl. Pearl loves Kentucky. I think he'd have us competing at a very high level.

Pearl lied to the NCAA and had a no hire clause on him.

UK will not hire any coach with that resume. Regardless of how appealing he is to the fan base.

LMAO. Fanstastic. That is what the little bastard gets for trying to get greedy at such a young age. Be happy you can hit the pink and worry about the stink later.

Memphis and UMass just flipped their tables over reading that.

its a big difference - Cal has vacated titles but no association to cheating. And even then, those vacated titles meant he was passed up for Gillespie.

It took us hiring a drunk psychopath and a program spiraling downward to give Cal a pass.

To be honest, Pearl's "cheating" was very minor. Yes, he lied to the NCAA, but that is what everyone should do, really. The NCAA is a capricious, horrible, heavy-handed rogue organization that should have been disbanded and replaced at least 25 years ago.

I am not a student of Cal. His vacated titles did not involve him cheating?

No, it's just an amazing coincidence that, everywhere he goes, everyone around him cheats. He's the unluckiest guy around. And, I'm sure he and Worldwide Wes are just bridge partners and their relationship has nothing to with the amazing spike in recruiting he had at Memphis and now Kentucky.

oh I agree, but the issue wasn't the act of "cheating" , it was getting caught lying to the NCAA.

Now of course if Pearl were to turn Auburn into a power house and take them to multiple final fours, I'm sure UK would move the needle a bit on their position.

Cal's two issues center around Camby getting paid by an agent and Derrick Rose not cooperating with the NCAA regarding a questionable ACT test he took before he declared his school (which ended up being Memphis). In both cases the NCAA determined that UMass and Memphis had players play that weren't eligible and the games were vacated.

So, was there no evidence that Cal knew of the issues with Rose or Camby?
