The Soccer Conspiracy exposed:

Conservative Rage at Soccer and World Cup Is Nothing New

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/dorian-de ... lp00000592

Many Americans were incredulous to hear Fox News' resident expert on psychiatry -- and on conspiracy theory -- Dr. Keith Ablow claim that President Obama is using the World Cup to distract Americans at "a time when there are so many national and international issues of such prominence."

But it took Stephen Colbert to examine the conspiracy theory of Fox News' Keith Ablow and to confirm Ablow's theory by rhetorically (and mockingly) asking on his show, "How often does Barack Obama run for president? Every four years. How often is there a World Cup? Every four years."

And if Americans were still not convinced of the liberal soccer and World Cup conspiracy and of how un-American, subversive and unpatriotic soccer is -- the growing interest in the sport being "a sign of the nation's moral decay" -- they just had to read the nine-point manifesto by another expert on the American psyche, Ann Coulter....

speaking of soccer, did anyone catch the real sports segment on soccer corruption?

Its crazy - and the craziest part is it is controlled by the chinese mafia. The corruption extends all the way to Canada and they are certain they've tried to at least bribe American players. Its gone so far that one country created a fake team just to lose when they were told to for the money.

Never saw the Real Sports ep, but I believe everything you typed.

On the Balco cocktail you created, e, it could be a mixture of that, the timing difference of the workout and the normal bump people get after routinely going to the gym for the first time (ever...or in years) and after that initial period the person goes through a big leap in the max they normally do.

I dunno - I've been going since January regularly. Initially I had some jumps as I just started getting back into shape, but for the past couple of months I'd been holding steady so that's why I said a 15lb weight jump was crazy.

Tonight I didn't take anything and I was able to go up in weight on one machine but stay the same on the others. But I am also pretty sore from yesterday.

I'm not a "better life thru chemicals" person - I should have been taking lipitor years ago and it took AA and Spacer to convince me to start about 2 years ago on here, so I'm reluctant to load up on pills of any kind but I thought if I didn't try to counter balance that horrible mexican food, it would have been just a wasted trip.

"I should have been taking lipitor years ago and it took AA and Spacer to convince me to start about 2 years ago on here"

most studies show being on lipid meds doesnt affect you life expectancy so Im not sure what the point is.

makes the drug companuies rich though ---getting your BAD cholesterol below a hundred--doesnt mean a thing

just go to the conculusion of the study

Yeah, some recent research suggests that some groups don't benefit. However, any competent HCP will not be swayed until more research is in and it is replicated. Especially when most of the studies to date have had limited participant populations.

this isn't a story you read about every day

--------------------

A little over a half of a year after former Olympian and legendary Big Ten track athlete Suzy Favor Hamilton was first exposed as a call girl, she's now being stripped of more than just her clothes. The Big Ten's female athlete of the year award will no longer be named after Hamilton.

Late last year it was revealed that Hamilton, a three-time Olympian as well as a three-time Big Ten female athlete of the year for Wisconsin, had been operating as a high-priced prostitute for an organization called Haley Heston's Private Collection. Before the news broke, only her husband knew of her secret life.

"He tried, he tried to get me to stop. He wasn't supportive of this at all," Hamilton said. "I take full responsibility for my mistakes. I'm not the victim and I'm not going that route. Everybody in this world makes mistakes. I made a huge mistake. Huge."

Hamilton's story did not break until she disclosed her identity to several of her clients, who in turn told others. Hamilton, who had gone by the name "Kelly Lundy," was also running a real estate brokerage as well as doing motivational speeches. For her, being a call girl was less about the money (though her going rate was $600 an hour) and more about the experience.

"I realize I have made highly irrational choices and I take full responsibility for them. I am not a victim here and knew what I was doing. I was drawn to escorting in large part because it provided many coping mechanisms for me when I was going through a very challenging time with my marriage and my life. It provided an escape from a life that I was struggling in. It was a double life," tweeted the former track star.

Reportedly, Hamilton had already been planning to leave the Heston agency when the story first came out. Since that time she has been a novelty and the butt end of more than a few humiliating jokes. She has claimed that her actions were the result of trying to escape anxiety and severe postpartum depression, among other ills.

"I do not expect people to understand, but the reasons for doing this made sense to me at the time and were very much related to depression. As crazy as I know it seems, I never thought I would be exposed, therefore never hurting anybody. I have been seeking the help of a psychologist for the past few weeks and will continue to do so after I have put things together," she also said while stating her case on Twitter.

Hamilton was easily one of the most dominant women in track towards the end of the 20th century. She won three straight Big Ten female athlete of the year awards starting in 1988, and won seven U.S. women's national titles, the last one coming in 1999.
