Hope the trustees are happy.
Trustees had nothing to do with ending UAB football. The decision was the right one regardless.

I'm glad I live in the best city for College Basketball when it comes to the tournament. Within 2 hours drive is the best bball anywhere. Bar none. Gonna be a fun next round. Arizona-Ohio State features the last 2 Xavier coaches facing each other with the possibility of the winner facing Xavier. And then we have UC taking on UK on Saturday. Of course we know who will win that one but add in Louisville, Indiana and Dayton and nowhere else can you get this quality of college basketball in the same region. Anywhere.

When the announcers have to say "the KFC Yum! Center", I think they should be required to express the exclamation mark...

Don't fret, Crow had them going to the FF and bonecrusher has them winning it all. Talk about a busted (burst?) bracket...

They said on Mike and Mike this morning that after the first day of the tourny last year, the ESPN bracket challenge still had like 18,000 entrants with perfect brackets. This year it's like 800...

Are we just getting old or what? This place used to be a hive of activity the first weekend of the tourny. Maybe it's just the foregone conclusion nature of this year's tourny that's got everybody down. Well, everybody but UK fans. Pretty sure most UK fans are feeling the way UNC fans felt in 2009 (and to a lesser extent in 2005). Admittedly, it's best not to yap too much, lest the unthinkable occur. Still, I preferred the way I felt in 2009 to the way I feel this year. We could have easily lost to Harvard yesterday. Goddamn. On a bright note, I think we can beat Arkansas. Hell, I think we *could* beat any team out there save UK. But we just as easily could lose to any team still out there as well. Oh well, survive and advance...

On another bright note (for UNC fans), I think Justin Jackson is really going to be a player. UK fans should take note, not b/c of any threat he poses to them, but b/c (as I've said a few times in here), he really reminds me of Tayshun Prince. Needless to say, I am gaining a new appreciation for Tayshun...

On a sad note, it's not terribly encouraging that a recruit turning out to actually be good is now reason to rejoice in Chapel Hill. That used to be the norm. Now it's the exception...

that yahoo has some pretty good prizes in the celebrity bracket. could have entered a different bracket in each of those contests and maybe struck gold in one. its under leaderboards
view alysso milanos pool
60" tv and proherd camera for winning it. just give me alysso milano for the night and we'll call it even

What's up with that? They just assign the best brackets to different celebs?

no I think each celebrity runs their own contest--there is like 10 differnet contests all with about 30k-60k entrants all competing for different prizes. if you click leaderboard over your bracket then celebrity contest you'll see what i mean.

The best part about the end of regulation in the UC-Purdue game was all the UK fans in the house going crazy as well.

The end of the Ga. State game was hands down the best out of a bunch of great finishes. We'll be seeing that clip for some time.
Yesterday was probably the greatest first day of any tourney I've ever watched.5 one-point outcomes and probably another 4 decided by 3 or less. Wrapped up my day by watching UK and concluding they are one of the best college teams I've ever seen. Kudos to Calipari for attracting that talent, making it work and seeing it through. Maybe they'll beat Duke in the championship game so I will have some reason to root for UK.
On the other hand, I was halfway wanting that last Harvard 3 to fall yesterday and go ahead and get this season over...

The other thing is that clearly DeGaulle and Crow are both lurking here (or they just found the TGP group). If the former, both are huge pussies. If the latter, they're still pussies. Big ones.
