We've been going to a planet fitness since mid january. No big thing, just something for us to do in the evenings to get some exercise. Its only $10 a month to join.

Last night I took the fambly out to a new Mexican place just down the road and I'm not sure what we ate that did it, but all of us just felt weak and tired after eating so my wife and I decided to skip the exercise last night and instead go this morning.

Anticipating that I'd still feel like shit, I decided to hedge it a bit so before we left this morning, I took a multivitamin, a b12 pill, some vitamin D, a gloucosamine pill (I take that everyday) and a baby aspirin.

I'm not sure if it was just the b12 or a combination of stuff but holy hell, it was a like a magic potion - by the time we got there I felt like I could climb the walls. I did my normal elliptical training thing and then went to the weights. I was able to go up 15lbs on every machine with stacked plates which is a crazy jump in weight and I went up 10lbs in free weights.

That couldn't have been in my head - I was just hoping to be able to do what I normally do with the expectation that my ass would be dragging. I'm a bit twitchy now typing this but for the most part I still have that energy. I'm going go out and get some shit done around the house today.

Of course it might be that we went at 9am as opposed to 9pm when we normally go but I don't think so.

Little white crosses used to do that for me...
