Primary Election Day between the Tea party and the Establishment. The Emperor is played by Dick Cheney. Luke is played by Paul Ryan.

Because the Establishment candidates run so far to the right in the primary that they are indistinguishable from the Tea Party candidate, which works great in Tunica, MS and Okmulgee, OK. It's also why the GOP won't have a realistic shot at the White House until 2024 at the earliest.

You know what's really amusing in all the conservative and tea party bitching about how it's unfair the Democrats could decide the Republican primary?
Remember "Operation Chaos"?

But I was under the impression that the Establishment candidates were running AGAINST Tea Party candidates in the primaries. Yes, I seemed to detect an air of opposition between the two camps. If they are in dogged opposition to each other, then they can't simultaneously be indistinguishable.
Does this Tea Party guy, who just lost to a classic Establishment guy, sound like he is "indistinguishable" from his opponent?

McDaniel doesn't seem to feel "indistinguishable" fro Cochran.

Heck voting for the weakest candidate in the opposing primary is nothing new. I been doing that for years here in Tennessee. It's just part of it.
I just came back to say HI and to see if our local liberals were gullible enough to believe that all 7 of the IRS computers just happened to crash at the same time and just so happened to have the evidence on them and wouldn't cha know it they can't recover it.
My God that alone makes this the most corrupt administration in history. Makes Clinton and Nixon look like choir boys and there are actually people that at least act like they believe them.
I haven't figured out of those reporters are that stupid or if they know it's all a cover up and are just so partisan they can't make themselves report anything untoward on the messiaha. Or maybe they are afraid they will be the next one under investigation/audit by this administration and their gubment agencies.

Obviously, you've never worked for a federal agency...

I worked at the worst of the worst, the VA and even after working there and it taking 9 HOURS to get a STAT CT scan (5 minutes in a private hospital) I still don't believe for one second that all 7 computers crashed.
They crashed after they got the orders to crash them intentionally after they wiped the hard drives clean.

The IT people I know all LMAO at the "lost" Lerner emails. Even if her hard drive crashed, the emails would still be on the server. Did the server also conveniently crash? Was it also accidentally destroyed? Also, the emails would also be on the hard drives of everyone she sent and received emails to/from. But I think the current lie is, all the people she sent/received emails to/from all crashed too.
Does anybody really believe this?
Put the IT chief on the stand, under oath, and threaten him/her with serious jail time unless he/she tells us what really happened.

That was indeed a historical moment when African Americans turned out in significant numbers in a midterm to vote for a Republican in Mississippi. I'm glad that the GOP's intensive outreach to the African American community is finally paying off. (heh)
JD, do you view those voters the same way you presumably view Clarence Thomas, Alan West, Herman Cain, Alan Keyes, Thomas Sowell, Shelby Steele, Condolleeza Rice, J.C. Watts, Walter Williams, etc.?

I wouldn't quite say it was dead. At least yet. They're doing fine at the state and local level. They already control the House, and have good chance at winning the Senate soon. But I agree their long term prospects aren't great. The Establishment is doing its best to run the Tea Party types out of town, and they will probably succeed. The reason Romney lost is the conservative base didn't turn out. That will happen more and more.
And the xenophobes in the GOP are doing their best to thoroughly alienate the Hispanics. As the Hispanic population grows, organizes, and votes reliably for the Dem's, the R's will be a permanent minority party. There aren't enough old bald fat rich angry white guys to win much longer.
