Louisville has a player named Chris Jones - not a great player but given their offensive woes, he was about their 3rd best option for offense this year.
He was suspended "indefinitely" by Pitino for the Syracuse game - the reason why came out that he texted a girl threatening to beat her for whatever reason.
Just prior to the Miami game Pitino says suspending players isn't really his thing, he'd rather work them to death in the gym as punishment and Tom Jurich, the UL AD said that Chris Jones is a good kid who just needs to put the incident behind him.
So the "indefinite" suspension is lifted after 1 game so that Jones can play for the Miami game.
After the Miami game, Jones raped and sodomized a woman. This was kept under wraps, but UL announced that Chris Jones was now off the team and they have no further comment. The UL police said at that time there was no report on him.
Yesterday evening or early this morning, the police announced he had been charged.
Pitino really, really struggles in the ethics/morality department - and I'd say UL as a whole does given both Pitino and Petrino have had affairs that have ended badly in the public eye
UL athletics has alot of Miami in them.

But if not Shaka Smart, then who? We can forget Calipari and Self. Miller and Matta do not excite me in the least, though both are always complimentary of Carolina Basketball. I just don't know who would be better as a young coach than Shaka. Now if you think we could nab a big name, I'd be interested in hearing who you think that would be.
I'd take Billy Donovan in a heartbeat, but not sure he'd be interested in coming to Chapel Hill after not taking the Kentucky job. Plus, there was bad blood between him and Roy at one time (at least on Roy's end). Hmm...That makes me want him as our coach even more!
For Carolina?

After Northwestern I'm sure there is plenty of room on the Crean bandwagon now.
What's the buyout for him now?

Crean is doing just fine at IU. He should be offered a lifetime contract

Mike Davis has gone from Indiana to UAB to TSU. He wouldn't seem to have a lot to laugh about.

I didn't say he was laughing everyday. But he serves a purpose - he is showing Crean his future career path

Arkie is one of the few teams in the country that can match up with UK both physically and athletically. UK had better bring their A game Saturday. Gonna be a battle.

This is the last thing you want to see when an accused rapist, who was with your basketball player who is also accused of rape, shows up in court if you're Tom Jurich/Rick Pitino

Well how many next Michael Jordan's has he recruited? I am sure it has been a handful.
Crean's issue this year is we have ZERO inside game.
However, Dakich was saying something on his radio show that in the past couple of games, there might be something going on personal within the team. He says Crean should crack the whip and find out what is going on, whether it is this dude is sleeping with this chick or this dude is failing something, or whatever and get down to the bottom of it.
