Wake up. Watch cartoons. Go outside to shoot my neighbor with my bb gun in a game of war or beat his ass in basketball. Then I would come inside, turn on WRAL, eat lunch, watch basketball, play outside some more before dinner and then watch the night game.

So many factoids (that's for you, Brook) coming out now about Dean Smith. For instance, I never knew he was credited with coming up with the phrase "Gas, ass or grass: Nobody rides for free"...

Dean would never use the word factoid. Don't sully his axioms with your pointless additions in advance.

I learned from the UNC play by play man or somebody that Dean Smith thought that one should never use the word "crucial" when referring to sports and those two dumbasses on sportscenter ate that shit up and even apologized for having used it in the past or some shit. Christ.

I wonder what Dean's beef was with the use of "crucial" in terms of sports? Was it something to do with the crucifixion of christ? Sometimes one has to overlook obvious flaws such as these in ones heroes...

It was something like "a basketball game is important, but like life man is crucial. When my daughter was in the hospital, that was crucial!" and how he hated to hear that word on the "sports shows" or some such nonsense.

Factoid: The word 'crucial' comes from the Latin 'crucius' ...means 'whale's vagina'
