How's this for a kick in the nuts. I've already told you my aunt is in hospice with only days left. Well, just a few hours ago her sons wife (44) just gave birth to twins at 6 months. Neither are expected to survive. My aunts biggest regret was that she wouldn't see her newest (my cousins first) grandkids. Now she might be buried with them. This week or so is gonna suck. My mom is a mess.

She already thinks its 1947. They won't tell her. She's to far gone to even understand. Yesterday she slapped me when I tried to kiss her forehead. Thought I was being to forward.

That's tough news, Rat. Obviously your aunt is on her final days, but I hope the little ones pull thru...

So far so good for the little ones. Im guessing its because their dad is fat as a cow.

why aren't they expected to survive? Because their mom is 44? or because they were preemies? If preemies, they always say they won't live and they almost always do. hoping for the latter.

After the standard hand-wringing about the "dangers" of pot, I loved the last line in that article: “It’s the same message as with alcohol,” Dr. Gruber said. “Just hold on, it’s worth it to wait.”

They seem to have a lot of lane management issues.

Also, did that one guy pull out a pistol and squeeze off rounds?

Yeah, great video.

Yes, some guy started shooting, and their lane management is bad. Most of europe and asia also refuse to recognize lanes (go to Rome and drive at rush hour - 5 cars abreast on a 3 lane road is very common).

Russia is different because they seem to be going 90 mph. And that video did have a ton of falling trees (and other things).

my time in India was a bit different, they mostly respect the lanes - but if 3 cars and 12 motorcycles can fit in a lane, then that is how many will go at it - and they are good at it. I was there for about 3 months and only saw maybe 3 wrecks - or what counts as wrecks over there. My driver hit a dude on a motorcycle and a bicycle but we only stopped for the motorcycle cause the dude on the bicycle got up and rode his bent wheel bike down the street. So that didn't count.

there was a poster on the NBA WX boards who went to India and as a pedestrian was hit by a car twice (2 separate occasions), I'm pretty sure he got bloody both times

Brooklyn probably remembers the details better than I do, I felt bad because I couldn't stop laughing
