what happened to him?

every time I watch one of those Alaska shows and someone gets hurt, I'm always wondering how competent the medical staff and facilities are up there.

I guess you can say the Clinton network has transformed the Dems into the rich and elite party.

So the author highlites some society-page material as it relates to the Clinton campaign and their donors. I guess I'm pissed that I've never been to Martha's Vineyard.

Wikileaks may not have sent Hillary to jail but its definitely leaving a wake behind her

Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Donna Brazille discredited as liars.

No one will ever listen to Podesta again

and we still have about 1000 more emails to go if I understand correctly

And then you have the 650K emails the FBI just jumped on that has sent Huma into hiding.

The reality is you have to consider yourself lucky to be in Clinton's inner circle for any period of time and come out of it unscathed.

I heard she's already sent her condolences to Huma for Anthony's upcoming "suicide".

I only recognize a few of those names. Just think what damage they would do to the country if they were to move!

From the article: "Read these emails and you understand, with a start, that the people at the top tier of American life all know each other."

Wow, what a revelation. That's some top-notch investigative reporting right there...

My favorite: Samuel L. Jackson: "If that motherf--ker becomes president I’ll move my black ass to South Africa."

The country is already damaged, 10ac. One man alone can fitzit. Someone with a good brain, smarter than the generals and a maker of great deals. Too rich to be corrupt. But only if he can win what has been widely denounced as a rigged election (okay, denounced by him, but still).

That "I'll move to Canada" thing happens every few elections. There were a handful of "celebrities" who said it in 2008. It's just that the celebrity lists are better when the chance of a Republican getting elected is in play (I think in 2008, the best Republicans could get on this boat was John Voight). Alec Baldwin said it in 2000...then he ironically booked "30 Rock" and made a classic episode trying his damnedest to not have a kid in the Great White North. I'm never too interested in the rhetoric of people who pretend this isn't a great place to live.

I feel bad for Huma. She's always seemed to be a decent, intelligent, loyal and hardworking wonk. My guess is what comes out of all of this will be things that are imminently embarrassing, but not criminal...for any party. That's pretty much a guarantee, as anyone who has email has some they don't want to ever see the light of day. Then, when the embarrassing or salacious ones are brought to light, the majority of people won't even think about the fact it all came from an exercise looking for criminal or unethical behavior, they'll just be happy there was some lesbian, drug or sexual talk for them to judge and parade around.

I think this will kill Comey's Washington career, but he'll land on his feet with speaking engagements and a spot on Fox News or Trump TV. The GOP has effectively protected the Hill for this election but the White House will still go Clinton. Then Jason Chaffetz and Trey Gowdy (or whatever their names are) will spend the next two years obstructing anything to hold more hearings on emails and Clinton Foundation shit. At the end of the day, if it does nothing but stops government and creates some good headlines, then they're all for it.

At the end, we wind up weaker as a nation...

if something wasn't there that was significant, I don't think Comey would have bothered with it.

This idea that he had to tell Congress simply because agents were looking at additional emails doesn't fly. They could have easily kept that wrapped up with the Wiener trial as long as there isn't anything there. Something forced his hand and it wasn't politics. If he was politically inclined he would have taken Hillary down with gross negligence and ended all this nonsense weeks ago.

Obama is backing Comey because if he doesn't, he'll be pressured to get an independent prosecutor and it will be Ken Starr all over again for Hillary.

I don't believe we'll hear anything about it before Tuesday but at any rate, I don't think the Democrats could find a more corrupt politician if they tried.

Everybody hates anybody who has done anything "wrong", whether legally, socially, morally, whatever. But then you get a squeaky clean christian like Jimmy Carter in there and everybody hates him too. It's not the politicians who are so fucked up as it is the electorate. No breaking news there, though...

There is wrong and then there is Hillary. She was busted for Whitewater for hiding documents under subpoena, paying Hubbell $700K when he was being investigated, etc., back in the 90's. And she's been in politics since then honing her craft.

She has long forgot what right and wrong is - that is not hyperbole. The Democrats are electing a woman married to a president that was impeached, setup a private server to hide illegal activities, deleted those activities when caught, lied to congress, uses her position in the state department to solicit money for access from Foreign Governments and then uses a private foundation to money launder. And that's not to mention this whole Benghazi mess and whatever her motivations were with Middle East connections. Whatever happened there, a diplomat and Navy Seals died because of it.

And people just ignore this because she's an "experienced" politician that knows when to smile and what to say while she's fucking people over. That's what they're voting for.

They want to talk about the temperament and judgement of Trump and here is a woman that can't stop if her life depended on it from continuing in corrupt activities for personal gain.

It is my understanding that Comey only knew of the metadata (basically the timestamp and the "Froms" and "Tos"). From what I've read (granted it's not a lot, I'm just burned out by all of the depravity on all sides during this election), the Bureau is not even certain if the emails are dupes, or not. So, I don't think anyone can say it is significant or not.

I agree, though, that Obama is doing all he can to not politicize this any further and giving Comey as much of a benefit of the doubt that he can.

In my view, though, Comey rolled dice on this unprecedented move to placate people in the Bureau or the Party. If nothing pops on this, history will look at him much like Ollie North...but Ollie has done okay in the wallet. So, maybe it doesn't matter.
