One time when Norm McDonald was on Letterman, he was like "Speaking of Hitler, the more I hear about that guy, the less I care for him..."

What is your company's vacation policy? I've been at my current company for two years now and, at my level, we don't have a vacation or sick day policy - we just take what we want. It's a genius plan since it feels like we have a lot since we have complete control and flexibility over our away time but, as it turns out, I use less vacation than I did in my previous job.eCat wrote:there is one good thing about being older
vacation bitches! I don't work the rest of the year
(I'd trade it all to be 27 again)

I haven't had a real vacation day where I was not called or attended a meeting telephonically in 2 years.Cletus wrote:What is your company's vacation policy? I'm never truly away since I've always got my phone with me. But, when I'm on vacation, I try to disconnect as much as possible. Honestly, there is nothing that any of us are doing that is all that important that we can't be away for a few days. And, for me, I'm in complete control of my team and our agenda and almost all of what we are doing are projects that have hard deadlines and are planned months in advance so I can pretty easily arrange my schedule around busy/important times. I do something related to work almost every day of the year and definitely every night after the family goes to bed so I don't feel so bad on those few occasions when I disconnect.Bklyn wrote:I haven't had a real vacation day where I was not called or attended a meeting telephonically in 2 years.Cletus wrote:What is your company's vacation policy?
