I'm leaving in a few hours to go home. Time to see Mama.
See y'all in a few days.
AA, good luck with the heathens.

Plenty of credible journalists? Really? Where?

I didn't say that they are on every street corner, but they exist. At least they exist on HBO in the Newsroom thanks to Aaron Sorkin.

The NCAA invented a new authority for itself out of thin air in order to crush Penn State. And they were kind enough to thank Penn State for paying for and providing a copy of the Freeh Report, a document that Emmert himself admits that could never be produced by NCAA hands. It's too competent.
After conducting a crack 8-hour investigation of Auburn and Cam Newton and the thumbing through the rulebook's table of contents, the same NCAA and President Emmert determined that there simply was no rule against a parent auctioning off his child's talents to the highest bidder and that it would be wrong for the NCAA to overstep its authority.

Cheer up, DSL. Now your Buckeyes will have another patsy to kick around the Big Ten in addition to Northwestern.
DS! How the heck are ya? How's the law practice? How's my adopted favorite college basketball team?

I need to post here more. I've actually started listening to Finebaum (yes, lol) in the afternoon commute home now that I have Sirius. Today he had guest after guest slamming the NCAA"s decision.
Have to admit, I'm convinced they are full of shit. Problem is, dare to question their decision or their authority to make such a decision and you get accused by idiots that you support child rape.

No...never have heard her. Wasn't she sick or dying at one point? The regulars are all attention-loving idiots. I'll often turn it to something else when they call. I get tired of their make-believe feuds

Dear lord ...listening to Finebaum. We'll work on that later. But I must admit, I do love when a former NCAA supporter sees the light.

Yes, the NCAA has been on a B1G tear here lately. Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan and Nebraska all on probation. In the SEC we have SoCar and Tennessee ...and that's it.

TWICE as many B1G teams on NCAA probation as the SEC!!!!

And I absolutely think the NCAA overstepped their mission with the Penn State gutting. It was a power grab by Emmert and it was successful.
At times like these I'm reminded of the words of Coach Stallings: " Generally speaking, if the NCAA is for it, I'm against it."

They had a choice to accept these sanctions or face a 4 year death penalty.

Which is no choice at all. The NCAA needs a complete overhaul.
