giants conditioning is superb this year.
my draft is saturday--have the 9th and 15th picks. we are a qb friendly with 6 plus for td passes with extra pts for > 30, 40 and 50 yd td's runs and catches
figure three rb's and three qb's go for sure--vick/rodgers/brees/maybe brady --johnson/peterson/foster maybe rice
figure I get a choice of or mendenhallor or charrles, p manning or rivers or go for the stud wr andre johnson. what I really hope for is one of those first 8 falls to me

Why is Pryor suspended?

Because the NFL has basically decided to uphold the NCAA's suspension on the kid to send a message that they are just fine and dandy with the NCAA being their free minor league system.

I'm actually all for extending NCAA punishments to the NFL.
Cheating coach? Ban him from coaching in the NFL or NCAA for life.
Cheating player? Kick him off the team and then fine and or suspend him in the NFL.
Cheating booster? Disassociation and a full-color, full page pic of the booster in the game program and a caption that reads,"This moron has hurt our team."

I'm not sure that's it... I think it's Karma bein' a bitch. If Pryor had any balls, he'd have came back to tOSU.

colts sign kerry collins
#1 and #2 active passers in yardage on the same team
don't have to worry a whole lot about the run option

Its exactly it. Pryore has broken no NFL rules. So the NFL is enforcing the NCAA sanctions. I don't know how else you explain the reasoning.

No. But if they are banned from college for breaking rules, they go into the draft class of their 4th year. Pretty simple.

The Colts minus Manning
What will the Colts look like if Manning isn't on the field? It's not pretty.
http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/ ... e-playoffs
According to ESPN's Total QBR, over the last three years, his clutch-weighted expected (points) rating (CWER), which measures the number of clutch-weighted points a QB adds to his team per 100 plays (think: the ability to make a 9-yard completion on third-and-8 in a tie game), is far ahead of the next closest quarterback. Manning is at a 15.1, while Tom Brady is second at 12.0. For perspective, both Drew Brees and Phillip Rivers are at 11.5. The debate about Manning over Brady is close in many areas, as it should be, but in this category, Manning is basically 20 percent better than the next-best QB in the league. And it's a category that's most indicative of a player's turning likely losses into likely wins.

Puter, this rant is not directed at you.
Manning is a great QB. I get that. I don't disagree. But a CWER??? WTF cubed! They actually came up with a percentage, which is a ratio and proportion, based on expectations.
I don't disagree with it. I don't agree with it. I don't give a shit. Just wonder where they get their numbers. Past performance is obviously no future guarantee. I guess the statisticians for the NFL were about to get laid off?

"Past performance is obviously no future guarantee."
In the case of Manning, it is.
