at least cops won't be shooting anyone

So, did Scott have a sign on him stating he was a felon? Did he even have the gun in his hands? Was it on his body? North Carolina is an open carry state.

The Trump Phenomenon is not just about the xenophobic, nationalistic, racist "basket of deplorables" that love him so much. It's also a quasi populist movement. The data gives enough information to understand it.

No sh!t! Don't forget, Hillary would not be the dem nominee w/o the establishment rigged primaries. This should be socialist vs deplorables.....So here's to the deplorables, on both sides.

Personal character, deficits, economy, social issues are the smokescreens the media throws out there; but, the election comes down to this critical issue, globalization vs. nationalism. The elite in governments, finance, and media want globalization because they will profit or gain power form continued growth. Yes, these are weak, stupid candidates for POTUS, but the sides of this issue that each represent are extremely important.

Can globalism be squeezed back in the bottle? Really? Do you believe that?

Depends what we mean by globalism, I guess. Global trade and commerce are irreversible and can be a positive thing as long as everyone is engaging in fair trade. Unfortunately, we have huge trade deficits with some partners who have an unfair advantage.

I am referring to globalism as it relates to sovereignty. There has been a huge push for this in the Western World that is now getting some backlash. A country relinquishing sovereignty on certain matters to a global authority is not positive for a nation's democracy. It handcuffed Greece with it's monetary policy. It forced Euro nations to accept unlimited immigration when it was not in their best interest or safety as a nation to do so. Does it make more efficiencies for trade and commerce for those in power? Certainly, but since those in power don't have to live with the negative effects of globalism as the general public, it's ok by them.

Interesting...and I don't disagree in totality with you. I do think there are changes and enhancements that could be made to address some of the negative consequences of a central banking authority spanning various sovereign entities.

However, I do wholeheartedly disagree with the Greece point. They should forever be removed from all discussion on sovereignty and monetary policy. Greece never should have been a part of the EU. It was added for political reasons (i.e. Russia) not for economic ones. EVERYBODY knew Greece fudged their numbers to get in and everyone looked the other way.

"EVERYBODY knew Greece fudged their numbers to get in and everyone looked the other way."

The Greeks have always been known as fudge packers. Hey Greekah!
