No tax on people over retirement age. Seems fair enough to me. They already paid their share. Enjoy the sunset.

Obama needs to tread lightly on his public statements regarding Iran and the Fast and Furious debacle - it might be his Watergate.

Eric Holder has already been caught in a lie and is now doing his best to avoid the subject.

Now Obama is telling the media it doesn't matter if Iran's president didn't know for this bungled assassination attempt, he is held accountable at the highest standards.

Yet Obama is claiming he knew nothing of the Fast and Furious program.

Code: Select all

so how do you think Seniors are going to react to Cains 9-9-9 plan when they pay no payroll tax and get hit with a 9% sales tax on every dollar of fixed income they spend?
They'll be up in arms. In poverty Louisiana, that'll be 18% tax on every necessity they get.

"My son lost his job because of this administration," she said a few minutes later.

A bad one.

With that said, poor Mitt Romney. He never should've become a Republican. No way in hell he can win national office under the GOP banner.

actually I think a Romney/Christie ticket would be appealing to the GOP, and I think it would give Obama a run

not that I actually like Mitt at any level but I've resigned myself to the idea that my guy isn't going to ever get his shot.

I think a Romney/Christie ticket would also give the markets confidence.

A Mormon and a Catholic running together on the GOP ticket? Your faith in any flexibility in the Southern Conservatives religious tolerance is admirable.

as opposed to voting for a black muslim in the election? (I know, I know but if you are commenting on their religious tolerance you know they are saying that too)

Perry likes mexicans -see Alabama's immigration policy

Cain wants to implement taxes on Seniors and lower middle class - see the rest of America

you forget the opposition

Most will vote for the devil if he is the Republican candidate. But they would lack enthusiasm with this ticked, imo. It's enthusiasm that makes the casual church goer go to vote. I don't think the 2 New England pseudo-conservatives, one a papist and the other a cultist will do it for these people. Romney-Haley Barber or Romney-Rubio may be stronger.

Romney -Ryan might be appealing as well

but Romney would never let Ryan's deficit plan see the light of day

My point is that the Mormon-Catholic ticket will suffer greatly in the South and it opens up the possibility of a 3rd party Evangelical candidate to come in and siphon votes. That may make a difference in places like Georgia and North Carolina.

Just as in the last election was voting for or against John McCain ( to the extent of many independents and moderates), I think this election is a vote for or against Obama.

Certainly the GOP can put a guy in there that will lose votes for them but I don't think it matters as much as the referendum on Obama.
