10 grand.
It looked doomed on his first and third shot. Good shit.

I liked his follow through on the final shot (including the celebration)...

someone needs to pull Roy aside and tell him to stop talking.

"I didn't see the smoke. I was naïve. It's my university," Williams said. "I worked to get my degree. I went to every class. I took a course pass/fail one time - dumbest thing I ever did. I got a 3.6 (GPA) one semester. You think I'd want to send my children to a place where they do silly things? I didn't know."
And from his autobiography:

"I heard about a guidance counseling course taught by Dr. Perry. I heard it has no tests, no papers, and no projects. That was my kind of class." - Roy Williams
"Dr. Perry this is it for me. They told me that your course has no tests, no papers, no projects -- and I'm being honest with you, that's what I want." - Roy Williams

I hope not. That's who I want when Grant is fired in 4 months.

When he leaves it will be for a school that puts hoops over football.

When he leaves it will be for a school that makes him rich. Grant makes $400K more now, and I have reason to believe that we are ready to spend more if needed to get the right guy.
Plus, the SEC is a league he can win in. Only a few really quality teams.

Marshall turned down $2+ million offers from NC State and Nebraska years ago even before he was being paid $1.6 or whatever Wichita St pays him now. Last offseason teams didn't even really bother going after him, not interested.

I think we would offer a decent amount more than we're paying Grant. And we pay Grant close to $2M. So, say $3M.
He wants money and a chance to win. Coaching NCState in the ACC or Nebraska in the B1G would be a tougher road.

He's an odd duck. Any team would want him and yet he's still at Wichita. We'll see if he ever goes somewhere.

Look, aTm, just apologize, admit that I am right, and help me welcome Gregg to Bama as the new coach so I can keep from arguing about it.
