Musburger also said that it was only fitting that FSU won because after all, Jimbo modeled this program after the SEC.

Fuck off and die already, Brent.

He's a redshirt freshman with a 4.0 in high school. He's 20 today. First freshman to win a nc and even if he wasn't brilliant he was good enough. Well done Jameis, well done.

There's a solid argument that the SEC is modeled after FSU of the 90s. Conference be damned, we ARE the champs.

I'm sure Saban also took things he learned in the MAC and Big10 when he headed off to LSU too.

Just Brent's way of turning the praise back towards the SEC, where it belongs, after all

hehehe Bastage.

I ended up staying up anyway thanks to a late phone call.

Great game. Shame Auburn lost but we can't win them all.

Recall, I wondered if Auburn's missed FG was going to be the play of the game. It looks like it was. Damn you Palardy.

Bring on bball season... :?

good game Tigers, your guys had the noles on the edge of disaster for over 45 minutes

It's not really the edge when it's 45 minutes. Now then, when Auburn scored with under 2 minutes to go to take the lead, that was the edge of disaster...

I was estimating from the time Uab went ahead 7-3

Did you like hearing how FSU is basically an imitation of an SEC team?

I mean, it was SEC teams like Tennessee and Florida who came up with the idea of recruiting speed back in the 80's, right?

Musberger made sure to mention that FSU does all it can to be "like an SEC team"...but did not feel it necessary to mention at all that a lot of Auburn's offensive ideas were lifted straight from Oregon and other teams like Nebraska/Oklahoma of the past.

Why so bitter? If you give credence to anything that dickhead says you're worse off than even Rat thought.

Those talking parrots on TV are full of @#$%.

Wasn't FSU supposed to destroy Auburn to the tune of a double digit lead according to all the experts? Instead, FSU won in part to a missed Auburn FG which was not influenced by FSU at all.

I believe aTm had us losing by 3 TD's.

There were a lot of critical plays that led to the outcome: the fake punt, the missed FG, the roughing the kicker penalty, and especially that long pass play in the last drive.

Congrats on a great season, Auburn. I find myself in an odd conundrum. My school FINALLY WON A CRYSTAL FOOTBALL -- but unfortunately my school was my law school. :x  :x

I am jazzed about FSU's season, winning a title, and more than anything beating Auburn. However, this huge victory mattered less to me than when Georgia fell magnificently to Auburn on the Plains a little over a month ago. I enjoyed the game and am satisfied with the victory, but my heart pangs guilt and searches for solace knowing that FSU is more likely to win another title before I see my Dawgs hoist whatever the ultimate trophy will be beginning next year.

Malzahn has been a HC in the SEC for one year, and already has an SEC championship. Richt has been at UGA for 15 years and has won 2 SEC championships.
